Watch LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales Early on Disney XD Site

LEGO Star Wars Droid Tales

If you can’t wait for LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales to air on July 6, well you’re in luck. The whole first episode, Exit from Endor, is available for viewing on Disney XD. The only thing required is that you have to be signed in to your cable or satellite provider. I can confirm that it works on Firefox but I was having some issues with Chrome and Internet Explorer.

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales is a five-part miniseries of 22 minute episodes that will retell the six Star Wars films through C-3PO and R2-D2 perspectives.

Following their victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, seen at the close of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, C-3PO and R2-D2 have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing and suddenly viewers are taken on a new adventure that leads to encounters with familiar faces and places that prompt the re-telling of the entire saga. The series offers all of the playful humor that viewers expect from LEGO Star Wars.

LEGO Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batmobile Revealed

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batmobile

One of the anticipated movies that will be shown off at San Diego Comic Con 2015 will be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and today The Wall Street Journal has revealed one of the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes sets that will be released in conjunction with the movie next year, the Batmobile. The set will have 306 pieces and retail for $29.99. It also includes a new Batman minifigure as well as two un-named characters while the Batmobile itself will contain some stud shooters. There will also be another vehicle with the set. So for $30, you get a Batmobile, another vehicle, and three minifigures including a new Batman outfit. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

The article also states that the Batmobile will be available on January 1st so we can probably expect it by late December. The set will be on display next week at SDCC and I’ll have some close-up shots of it when it revealed to the public. Thanks to everyone who wrote in about it.

LEGO Jurassic World Raptor Rampage (75917) Review

I’ve finally had some time to watch Jurassic World in theaters and for my second review of the LEGO Jurassic World sets, first of the boxed sets, I have the Raptor Rampage (75917). The set consists of 324 pieces and retails for $49.99. One of the main complaints I’ve heard about the LEGO Jurassic World sets is because of the prices but keep in mind there are some large molds included in the set on top of it being a licensed theme. The box contains three numbered bags, two individually bagged raptors, two instruction booklets, and a sticker sheet.

Warning: There will be spoilers in the LEGO Jurassic World reviews so if you haven’t watched Jurassic World yet, I suggest skipping these posts. I feel it’s been ample time between the release of the movie and the time the reviews go up and I assume a majority of the readers have already seen the movie.

LEGO SDCC 2015 Exclusive Set Official Box Art Images

SDCC 2015 LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Mini-Build

It looks like all the San Diego Comic Con 2015 LEGO exclusive sets have been revealed and there are now official box art images of the sets. What we didn’t know about the LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Mini-Build is that there will also be a R2-D2 minifigure included in the set. Although it’s not a new version, it’s nice that one is included. If there’s more sets to be revealed, I’ll add it on to this post.

On another note, I believe there’s still one more exclusive minifigure to be revealed because it was noted on a previous article that the drawings would be held from Thursday through Saturday. The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes All New Captain America (Sam Wilson) and LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Arsenal have already been revealed.

Comic Book Covers Recreated with LEGO

San Diego Comic Con 2015 is about a week away and one of the popular mainstays at the convention are comic books. Recently, there’s been a growing trend in the LEGO community of many builders recreating comic book covers with LEGO. This building theme was made more known with Comic Bricks which was on display late last year at Designer Con. Even LEGO themselves will also debuting a set at SDCC next week with their rendition of Action Comics #1 which will be sold at the convention.

LarX99 over on Reddit has continued this trend of recreating various comic book covers with LEGO. Of course, there’s also their rendition of Action Comics #1 which has been a popular topic the past week or so due to the upcoming exclusive set. My favorite cover, seen above, is probably the recreation of Hulk #181 which was the first full appearance of Wolverine, despite the wrong colored costume. Below are just a few covers that LarX99 has done but check out the full album over on Imgur.
