Bricks by the Bay 2014 Convention Attendee Registration Open
BRICKS BY THE BAY convention August 7-10, 2014

Northern California-June 2014:

Attendee registration is now open online for the BRICKS BY THE BAY 2014 convention for those who enjoy LEGO®. The convention will be held Thursday through Sunday, August 7-10, 2014 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, in Santa Clara, California.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are registered attendee exclusive days. The final day of the convention, Sunday August 10, 2014, will include a Public Exhibition where the general public can come in and view the many creations on display.

This year’s convention has something for every attendee including:

  • Keynote speaker and special guest: David Pagano, founder of Paganomation, an award-winning production studio.
  • New this year: Bricks by the Bay Brickfilm Festival. Brickfilmers from around the world are submitting films fitting the convention theme of “Fun & Games” as well as their best work of the prior year. Festival judges include animator David Pagano.
  • Convention attendees will be able to take part in a number of games and contests at the convention. A favorite contest is the CosPlay or Costume Contest with contestants having costumes that “Look Like LEGO®” or are “Made From LEGO® Parts.”

This year’s convention features a third attendee-exclusive day. Thursday, August 7, will offer four special workshops:

*“LEGO® Animation” with David Pagano (Professional LEGO animator; BBTB 2014 Guest of Honor & Keynote Speaker);

*“Landscaping” with Li Li (Experienced builder of LEGO® models featuring landscaping and rock design);

*“Robotics” with Eva Carrender (Professional LEGO® Robotics Instructor);

*“Sculpture” with Mariann Asanuma (Professional freelance brick artist and former LEGOLAND Master Builder).
(Additional fees are required for these workshops.)

The Bricks by the Bay convention draws hobbyists and clubs from around the country…even internationally…and features club displays, individual MOCs (aka My Own Creation), contests, vendors and keynote speakers.
