BrickLink Announces MOC Shop and Teaser Page

BrickLink MOC Shop

Earlier this month, BrickLink officially announced that they will be launching the BrickLink MOC Shop in May. It is a place where members can create, share, buy, and sell their MOCs to other members in the community. Builders can upload an image or the LDD file of their MOC for members in the community to like and comment on it and if it gets enough recognition, it becomes a candidate for it to be sold. The design of the MOC will be evaluated for parts availability by sellers. If it is approved, the MOC will be available for purchase as a BrickLink Original. You can read more about the process on the post here. BrickLink has released a teaser page for the MOC Shop (above image). What do you think of this new service and will any of you be selling your MOCs?

Spring is here and we’ve have a cool looking new model at the Fashion Valley LEGO Store showcase. This model was created by members of L Gauge which is a group of members in the LEGO Community here in the San Diego area who are working together to create a museum for visitors to see the history of LEGO.

This month’s model at the store is a scene showing minifigures having a fun time at the beach just like what we have here in sunny San Diego. Check out the images below.

There always comes a time when a LEGO builder has to take down a build that they’ve cherished for a long time. This is what Sean and Steph Mayo, aka Siercon and Coral, has done with their Faerie Forest. Since they are moving soon, it had to be dismantled but it’s also a bittersweet moment. The LEGO Movie Master Builder’s Submarine MOC by Imagine Rigney

"We Can Make a Bat-submarine… (Patent Pending)": LEGO Movie Submarine Side View

Last month, we reported on an image that surfaced of the Master Builder’s Submarine that was created by various characters in The LEGO Movie. The digital design was created by Grant Freckelton and his team using LEGO Digital Designer. In the movie, six characters worked together to create it. In the real world, it took one person to make it and he goes by the name of Imagine Rigney on Flickr. He has recreated the submarine with great accuracy. The sub is only a part of his bigger models as you can see from the images below. The sub is a cutaway design in which the characters witness the fall of Unikitty’s Cloud Cuckoo Land. He notes that while building the model, he found out that many of the elements used in the digital image didn’t exist in some of the colors or no longer exists. A very awesome MOC by Imagine Rigney and truly a representation of The LEGO Movie’s message.
