LEGO Updates Retiring Soon List – September 2022

LEGO has updated their Retiring Soon list and there are a lot of larger sets that will be going away in the next few months. Some of the sets have been around for a few years now while some have a shorter life span. Overseas has a couple more sets listed than in North America so I would go with that just to be safe. There are also some sets that are temporarily out of stock but I’ve listed them for reference in case you find them at another retailer.

Normally, the TOTY awards are given in February but they have shifted it to a new fall timeline to give companies the opportunity to promote their products during the holiday shopping season. August is just around the corner and it is usually one of the biggest months for new LEGO sets, at least in North America. There will be over 90 sets that will be dropping in a few days on the LEGO Shop and here’s a shopping guide for what we can be expecting. Note that there will also be price increases on current sets that are already available which go up to 25%.
