LEGO Architecture Winter 2017 Official Images

LEGO Architecture Sydney (21032)

Hoth Bricks continues to crank out official images and this time we have some for the winter 2017 LEGO Architecture series. Continuing with the Skyline theme from this year, 2017 will have at least three sets which we can see here.

LEGO Architecture Buckingham Palace (21029) Review

LEGO Architecture Buckingham Palace (21029)

Following after my review of the LEGO Architecture United States Capitol Building (21030), I have the other summer 2016 release set with the Buckingham Palace (21029). Coming in at 780 pieces while retailing for $49.99, it has a $0.06/piece ratio but that may be a little misleading which I’ll get to a little later. The contents of the box include five un-numbered bags, three loose 8×16 plates, and the instruction booklet.

LEGO Architecture United States Capitol Building (21030)

LEGO has recently released a couple of new LEGO Architecture sets and the first one I’ll be reviewing is the United States Capitol Building (21030). It is the larger of the two summer wave sets coming in at 1032 pieces and retailing for $99.99. It is currently the third largest landmark Architecture set that LEGO has produced. The contents of the box include 9 un-numbered bags, six loose 8×16 plates, and a very thick instruction booklet.

LEGO Winter 2017 Rumored Set List

It’s about that time of the year when we start hearing about next year’s LEGO sets and it looks like CM4Sci and others over on Eurobricks has a list of rumored Winter 2017 sets from a number of LEGO themes. There’s also talks of some of the movies sets next year including The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie.

A lot of the sets listed do not have set names and if they do, they’re not 100% accurate as they are probably translated. The pricing listed are in Euros. As usual, keep in mind that these are purely rumors until they are confirmed by a approved source such as LEGO’s servers, Amazon, or an online toy shop.

LEGO Architecture Buckingham Palace (21029)

For the LEGO Architecture fans, there are now official images of the two summer 2016 sets from Amazon. Even though there are only two sets coming out, they are both very nice, hefty looking builds.

Recent LEGO Contest Winners Announced

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 15 (71011)

It seems that I never announced the winners of some of the LEGO contests that I had running the past couple of weeks. The first is for a complete set of Series 15 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71011) which goes to:

Wayne A

The other contest was for the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) minifigure and that one goes to:

Steven W

Arrangements have already been made to get the items to the winners. Also remember that voting is still going for a few more days on for the LEGO Architecture Building Contest which is turning to be a very close contest. If you haven’t checked it out yet, head over to the post and have a look.

The Brick Fan LEGO Architecture Building Contest

Late last year, I reviewed some of the new 2016 LEGO Architecture sets including Venice (21026), Berlin (21027), New York City (21028), and Burj Khalifa (21031). I’m happy to announce our very first building contest which happens to revolve around the LEGO Architecture theme with some nice prizes up for grabs.

Contest Rules

This contest will run from March 7 to April 7 and you will be building it similar to the new Architecture Skyline design. Choose any city in the world and create five miniature buildings or monuments that are famous in that city.

Since we’re keeping it fairly simple, the build should be more or less around 10 inches in length by 10 inches in height with some leeway for overhang no more than two studs.

How to Enter

There are a few ways to submit your creation. One way is to add it to the Flickr Group. Another way is on Instagram. For both sites, please use the hashtag #tbfarch so we can easily find your submission.

Entries will be judged on how closely the buildings resemble the real life building.

Fine Print

One entry per person.

Participants from United States Only.

Please do not use decals or stickers.

No non-LEGO parts.

No digital entries (LDD).

No digital backgrounds.

Please use a clean background with good lighting so we can clearly see your build.

Entries allowed until the end of the day April 7 11:59pm PST and voting will being shortly after that. The voting period will … Continue
