Light Brick Studio Branches Out from LEGO Ventures

LEGO has been investing in a lot of gaming lately and it bodes well for the community. Last week, they announced that they are working with Unity for a new LEGO Microgame which you can create your own game using virtual bricks. Yesterday, VentureBeat reported that a game development studio called Light Brick Studio is now a independent company and is also supported by LEGO Ventures.

Light Brick Studio previously created Builder’s Journey for Apple Arcade and was released back in December 2019. The studio is now free to create to create games for LEGO as well as for any external partners they choose. This gives Light Brick Studio a lot leeway on what they are able to work on. I’m interested in seeing what will come of this and if they will expand beyond Apple Arcade since not many people are on it.
