The LEGO Movie Poster (Bigger Version)

The San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog has posted the Warner Bros. The LEGO Movie panel from Day 3 at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con. The video shows most of the panel minus the footage parts which you’re not allowed to film. Here it was also announced that Channing Tatum will be voicing Superman, Jonah Hill will be doing the voice for the Green Lantern, and Cobie Smulders will do the voice for Wonder Woman. They will be joining the cast of Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Alison Brie, Will Ferrell, Nick Offerman and Charlie Day who are also doing various voices in the movie. The panel also mentioned that there will be scenes included that are made from short films by fans which we reported back in May.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2013 Survey

If you attended the 2013 San Diego Comic Con and went to the LEGO booth any time during the four days it was open to the public, you were probably handed a card which sends you to a survey to voice your opinions on how well the booth was ran. The survey will be used to gauge attendees’ overall experience and to make next year’s Comic Con experience better. I did fill out the survey and voiced my concerns about the whole exclusive minifigure fiasco the first day of the convention. The link is below if you’re interested.

LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine (21103) Misspelling

Some of the bigger LEGO sites and some people in Europe already have gotten their hands on the latest LEGO CUUSOO set, the Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine (21103). Many have done reviews on it and noticed that the flux capacitor piece has a pretty big spelling error. Someone in quality control forgot about the “I before E, except after C” rule in the bottom sentence “SHEILD EYES FROM LIGHT” instead of “SHIELD EYES FROM LIGHT”. It looks like the the first batches of the set have this error and LEGO has acknowledged it in their Knowledge Base. The DeLorean will be available at LEGO stores and Shop@Homeicon and LEGO is now thinking of options to resolve this issue on the flux capacitor piece.

This probably means the set I picked up that was autographed at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con may also have the spelling error which makes it more of a collector’s item. I will be picking up another set when it becomes available globally to do review and I’ll check if that batch has the error or not.

Information about the Back to the Future set Flux Capacitor misspelling.

It has come to our attention that one of the pieces in the new Back to the Future Time Machine set was printed with a spelling error on it. Text on the Flux Capacitor element reads “SHEILD EYES FROM LIGHT” instead of “SHIELD EYES FROM LIGHT”. We’re sorry for any disappointment caused by the oversight.

The set will launch as

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2013 Extended Gameplay Video

Stan Lee in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

Arthur Parsons of TT Games did an interview with GameSpot after the Marvel Video Games panel yesterday and showed off a 20 minute gameplay video of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game. If you were following our live report on the game yesterday on Twitter, you would’ve seen that it was announced that Stan Lee would also be a playable character. In the extended gameplay video, you can some some of Stan’s superpowers. Since he is the almighty Stan Lee, he can pretty much have any superhero powers such as Spider-Man’s web slinging. Another of his moves is a flame torch coming from his eyes kind of like a Cyclops/Human Torch combination. It was also mentioned that he has a Mr. Fantastic move as well but it wasn’t shown. In an IGN video, Stan is shown to have an adamantium skeleton. Finally, Stan gets to “Hulk” up and turn into Stan Hulk. The body is exactly the same as the original Hulk character but he has Stan’s white hair instead. The animation of him changing back and forth is awesome. The LEGO Marvel Video Game is now available for pre-order at Walmarticon which includes the Iron Patriot bonus minifigure in the Gun Mounting System (30168). The game will be shipping on October 22 from them. Below is just a partial list of over 100 playable characters that are in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes:

Spider-man
Thor
Wolverine
Hulk
Human Torch
Mr. Fantastic
Nick Fury
Black Widow
Hawkeye
Captain America

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2013 Day 4 Recap

LEGO Mixels

Today was the final day of the 2013 San Diego Comic Con and it went by just like that. Like the past two days, I stood in line for a raffle for the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Exclusive Green Arrow minifigure that would be given out later in the day. The result of that raffle? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. During the time that I was in line, I missed out on the LEGO Legends of Chima panel.

Later in the day, the LEGO booth revealed their latest theme, LEGO Mixels. I have no idea what these are but they are set to be released in March 2014. I did manage to take a few pictures of the sets that were shown: Flain (41500) from the Infernites clan, Seismo (41504) from the Cragsters clan, and Volectro (41508) from the Electroids clan. Judging from the looks of the characters, I think we know who LEGO’s intended audience are.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2013 Day 3 Recap

Stan Lee in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

Day 3 of the 2013 San Diego Comic Con was a day filled with LEGO related activities. First was the early wait for the raffle for the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes SDCC 2013 Exclusive Black Suit Superman. The line became so long that it went down from the stairs and back into the building. There were only 200 given away today and the small chance of getting one became even smaller. At the end, I didn’t win. While waiting in line though, I did meet a nice older couple who were AFOLs and they had with them a SDCC 2012 Green Lantern minifigure in case someone wanted to trade the Black Suit Superman with them since they are huge Superman fans. If you’re reading this Eric, I hope you did find one.

Next up was a panel that me as well as many other LEGO fans were waiting for, the LEGO Video Games panel which included the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game. There were a ton and I mean a ton of playable characters that were unveiled today. I tweeted a lot of them when they were announced but there were way more including:
