LEGO Unikitty Roller Coaster Wagon (30406) Polybag Found at LEGOLAND

LEGO Unikitty Roller Coaster Wagon (30406)

Late last month, the official images of the LEGO Unikitty sets started appearing online along with the Collectible Figure blind bags which are slated to come out later this summer. There’s now also news of a polybag for the theme which has started to hit LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers as well as on eBay called the Unikitty Roller Coaster Wagon (30406).

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

It has 46 pieces and includes the most basic variant of Unikitty. What’s interesting here is that Unikitty uses a new reverse 1×3 plate for the neck that connects to a pin to give the head more stability unlike the original Unikitty from The LEGO Movie line. You can check out a review of the polybag from Just2Good below. There’s no word on a wider availability at this time as LEGOLAND usually sells polybags before other retailers but I’ll keep you updated.

LEGO Recap from New York Toy Fair 2018

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall (75954)

The 2018 New York Toy Fair is now over and there was a lot of LEGO news that came out that you may have missed so here’s a little recap of some of the more notable news items from the event.

LEGO Announces the Return of Harry Potter

Probably the biggest thing that LEGO announced during the Toy Fair was the return of Harry Potter in a new LEGO Wizarding World theme that encompasses both the Harry Potter universe as well as Fantastic Beasts. The first set that was revealed in this theme was the Hogwarts Great Hall (75954) which retails for a modest $99.99 for a 878 piece set. This set along with the rest of the wave will be available starting in August.

LEGO Unikitty! Sets Announced for August Release

LEGO Unikitty!

LEGO has officially announced that we’ll be getting some LEGO Unikitty! sets as well as a collectible series this August based on the Cartoon Network animated series.

The sets are numbered from 41451-41455 and the collectible series is 41775. Note that it doesn’t say “collectible minifigure series” so perhaps they are the rumored Mixel type builds for each of the characters in the show.

Nothing more is known at this time as they were not shown off at the 2018 New York Toy Fair. It is possible that we’ll most likely see them at San Diego Comic Con in a few months.

LEGO Unikitty! Minifigure Series Confirmed for August

LEGO Unikitty!

It looks like the rumors of a LEGO Unikitty! Minifigure (41775) blind bags were indeed true. Zusammengebaut has reported that there will be a series of minifigures that will be for the Unikitty! animated show on Cartoon Network. This series would be coming in August and there will be twelve Unikitty minifigures to collect. I’m not sure if this means that there are twelve variants of Unikitty or twelve different characters from the Unikitty show. If it is the former, this series will be harder to feel for because Unikitty pretty much has the same body type and the only distinguishing features would be the accessories if she has any. The early rumor also stated that this series could also be a Mixels-type series so we’ll see if it just minifigures or the buildable type. Either way, I’m pretty excited to see what this series will consist of when the official images are released this summer.
