LEGO Disney 100 Disney Celebration Train​ (43212) Review

In my other review of the LEGO Disney 100 sets, we take a look at the 4+ Disney Celebration Train​ (43212). This set has 200 pieces and retails for $39.99.

Minifigures

There are six minifigures in this set and they include Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Woody, Moana, and Minnie Mouse. Mickey has a blue striped conductor outfit that has printing of a pocket watch. He has a red balloon as an accessory.

Peter Pan wears his plain green outfit with the darker green pants. It is slightly different that the one in the 71012 Collectible Minifigures line mainly at the collar and the legs. The head shows him with a happy expression and the hat is molded on to the hair which is also the same as before. His accessory is a spyglass.

Tinkerbell is in here light green outfit which is almost the same as in the Disney Castle (71040). The difference here is she does not have a fabric piece for her skirt and the wings uses the newer butterfly wing piece. Her face is different with this one showing a smile but her bun hairpiece is the same. Her accessory is a magenta balloon.

Woody is next and it looks to be the same one as in the Woody & RC (10766) with the sheriff outfit which has printing of the pull string in the back. He has a double-sided head with a normal smile on one side and a nervous smile on the other. The cowboy hat and hair are molded together. His accessory is his guitar.

This set features Moana as a LEGO minifigure for the first time as she has been a minidoll in the previous sets. She has on a red top with printing of the shell necklace. The legs show her with a tan skirt. She has a double-sided head with smiles on both sides. Her accessory is an oar.

Lastly we have Minnie Mouse who is almost the same one as in the Mickey, Minnie and Goofy’s Fairground Fun (10778). She has the red and white polka dot dress with a pink jacket. The main difference between the two is that she has a yellow bow on her head instead of a red one. Her accessory is a yellow balloon.

Build

The build features a train along with a station. In addition to the engine, each float represents something for each of the characters. Mickey has the train engine that has a printed Disney 2×4 brick. The front of the engine has the logo of his head.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell’s float is the shape of a pirate ship. The main thing that stands out is the skull flag fabric. There’s a lantern in the front and an anchor on the side.

Woody’s float features a facade of the jail with a sheriff sign at the top. In the middle is a rotating stage with a barrel and cactus flanking it.

The float for Moana is an island with a mountain being the backdrop. The front of it has a sort of a waterfall wave that she can stand on. Behind the mountain is a hidden cave with a colorful treasure.

The floats are able to connect to each other in whatever way you desire.

Lastly, we have the train station where Minnie waits for the train with a cake and cupcake.

Results

Overall the LEGO Disney 100 Disney Celebration Train​ (43212) is a good starting set for younger kids to transition to the regular bricks. The builds are very simple to assemble and doesn’t take that long to complete.

Obviously the set is sort of a Disney minifigure pack with them pretty much being exclusive. I’m not too sure about the inclusion of Moana since she’s more a newer character while the others are old school ones, however, it is her first minifigure so I guess I’m okay with it. If you’re buying the set just for the minifigs, I would wait for a sale on it later on.
