Today is Back to the Future Day and to celebrate the occasion, I’m giving away the 2013 LEGO CUUSOO DeLorean Time Machine (21103). The set was officially retired at the end of last year but was still available around the beginning of this year. It has since been off the shelves and only available on the secondary market like BrickLink and eBay but now you have an opportunity to win one. The giveaway is pretty simple and is ran like many of my previous ones. All you have to do is to use the Rafflecopter widget below and follow the instructions. This contest is available worldwide. I’ll let it run for a week and I’ll choose the winner shortly after that. Good luck!
The guys over at Brickipedia wanted our readers to know that they are holding a contest that starts today in which you have to perform a task and new tasks will take place every two days. At the end of the month, participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win some very cool prizes.

A few weeks ago, I ran a contest to give away a complete set of Series 14 Monsters LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010). The contest has ended and there were over 15,000 total entries but there can only be one winner (for now). The votes are tallied and the winner is:
I’ve already sent the winner an email requesting their shipping info and such and if I don’t get a response, I’ll reroll the winner. Remember that there are three complete sets of minifigures in a box so there will be two more giveaways before the year ends with the next one being held on Halloween, October 31st since these are Monsters minifigures. Thank you to everyone who participated and a big thank you to the LEGO CEE team for sending a box in for me to be able to even do this.
As you can see from the image above, I have a full box of the Series 14 Monsters LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010). As we know by now, there are three complete sets of 16 minifigures in a full box and that is what I have in my possession. With that, I’ll be doing three separate giveaways until the rest of the year to three lucky fans for each set 16. The first giveaway will be in this post and the others will be held on Halloween, October 31 and on either Thanksgiving, November 26 or on Christmas, December 25. I haven’t decided on the last one yet.
To enter the giveaway, just use the Rafflecopter widget below. It’s pretty simple and straightforward and in two weeks, I’ll be randomly choosing a winner through the widget and that fan will be sent a set of 16 Monsters minifigs for free.
I didn’t feel like feeling for each minifigure so when you receive them, they will be opened but will have everything that should be there including the leaflets and the stands.
Good luck everyone and I would like to thank the LEGO CEE team for sending a box in for me to do this giveaway.
It’s time to close out the contest I was running for the LEGO BIONICLE SDCC 2015 Skull Scorpio Mask. There were just over 5,000 entries which is fairly low considering that the other two contests had a couple thousand more entries. It’s not really a surprise since people were really going for the exclusive Super Heroes minifigures. As usual, the winner is randomly chosen and the name that was given is:
Saqib Asomugha – Massachusetts
Again, thank you to everyone who participated in the SDCC giveaways. I wish I had more of the SDCC stuff to give out but that’s all I could get my hands on. Stay tuned as in a few weeks, I have another contest planned hopefully in the beginning of September. I won’t say what it is right now but I’m pretty sure you guys will definitely like it.
The LEGO CEE Team has sent over some details on a new LEGO TECHNIC contest being held over on Rebrick with some awesome prizes for the winners included an unannounced set as well as the new Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 (42043). Check out the details of the contest below.
Build THE Mercedes-Benz Truck of the future!
One day during the early 1920’s Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler sat down in Germany and agreed to merge their two car companies into one and start producing Mercedes-Benz cars. They had each made their own versions of the world’s first petrol-driven cars back in 1886. Within years, Gottlieb Daimler sold his first truck – almost 120 years ago!
Some of the first Mercedes-Benz branded diesel powered trucks were built in Stuttgart in 1923. Today, in 2015, half of all trucks on the German roads are Mercedes-Benz trucks.
Just imagine how Karl and Gottlieb would react if they were time-warped from 1925 to 2015 to witness just how big, fast and capable the Mercedes-Benz trucks have become 90 years later! What would they say if they could see what their vision has led to?
Think the new LEGO® Technic 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 is the coolest Technic set ever made? (Yeah, we like it, too!) And have you thought about what the perfect truck would look like if you could design your own?
Hold that thought, and now, imagine yourself traveling 30 years into the future, to 2045. You’re taking a brand new Mercedes-Benz Truck out for a spin. It’s the truck of your dreams! What does it look like? How does it move, and what will it haul? What will be required of a truck in the year 2045? What will it be fueled by – diesel, electricity, recycled waste, or something completely different?
Be a visionary, and build the ultimate Mercedes-Benz Truck of the future with LEGO Technic!
Ready, research, design!
How to join:
Look back 30 years: how have truck designs evolved since 1985? And looking ahead, can you spot the latest trends in truck design, alternative fuels, transportation needs, infrastructure changes, and combine it all into the perfect future truck?
To join the competition, research, design, and build your model, take a great picture and upload it, and if you feel like recording a video of your design process, feel free to send that to us, too.
Rev up your engines, and join the competition on ReBrick.com! (http://rebrick.lego.com/technic) You will find all the fun details and small print there – we can’t wait to see your designs. Enter now until October 5th, 2015!
One talented design winner will take home an exclusive first prize: LEGO Technic models worth 1,000 EUR, a signed LEGO Technic 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 box, and a specialized Winner certificate.
Nine runners-up will each be awarded a signed LEGO Technic 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 box, and a specialized Winner certificate.
Happy building, and good luck from the LEGO Technic Team!
For my final SDCC 2015 contest, I’ll be giving away the exclusive LEGO BIONICLE Skull Scorpio Mask. This version of the mask is the same one that is in the the Skull Scorpio (70794) set but in a trans-neon green color.
The giveaway will have the same rules as my previous ones. Click on the Rafflecopter widget below and follow the instructions for the Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ entries. You do not have to “like” or “follow” the pages but they are definitely appreciated.
Since I started this contest late, I’ll add an extra day on it and it’ll run until 8/16/15 at 11:59:59pm PST. Good luck to everyone who enters.
