Chris McKay Confirms The LEGO Batman Sequel in the Works

It’s been almost two years since The LEGO Batman Movie was in theaters and fans have been wondering if there will be a sequel for it. The director for the first movie, Chris McKay, has assured us that a second movie is currently being worked on. This doesn’t mean that that The LEGO Batman Movie 2 has been officially announced but at least we know Warner Bros. is looking into it another movie for Batman. In the meantime, we still have the Caped Crusader in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part which hits theaters in February.

We are working on that rn actually! In the meantime LEGO Batman is all over LEGO 2 coming in February.

The LEGO Batman Movie The Ultimate Batmobile (70917) is the next set that is on sale for the daily LEGO Black Friday 2018 weekend promotion. It is 30% off the regular price of $139.99 and is now priced $97.99, while supplies last. Unlike the other two sets that had daily specials for them, this set is not listed as one of the sets that will be retiring soon but I have a feeling it may sell out. Regardless, this set is definitely worth the price as it has a lot of play features with it.

Last month, I ran The LEGO Batman Movie Minifigure Vignette Building Contest and it’s now time to announce the winners of the contest. I’m sorry about the lateness of choosing the winners but I’ve been dealing with other things the past few weeks. I was pretty lenient on how the builds were judged and there were some really creative ones. Since LEGO accidentally sent me another box of minifigures, I’ll also be choosing a few runner up winners, in no particular order. The LEGO Batman Movie The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526) Review

As I reported a few days ago, The LEGO Batman Movie The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526) polybag has started to show up at Toys R Us locations across the US. It contains 84 pieces and retails for $3.99 each. The RWeb# is 33618/UPC 673419286091. What’s cool about this polybag is that there are enough parts in a polybag to recreate each of the main vehicles for the Ultimate Batmobile. The instructions are provided for the Batmobile shown on front of the polybag and the other builds can be downloaded here.

The LEGO Batman Movie The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526) Available at Toys R Us

If you’re looking for The LEGO Batman Movie The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526), you may want to check out your nearest Toys R Us store as there are reports that they have started to show up there. The instructions show you how to build the regular Batmobile but there are additional instructions for the Bat-Tank and Batwing. The only downside is that you get enough parts in one polybag for one of the vehicles so you’ll have to purchase three polybags to create the complete thing. Like with the larger 70917 counterpart, you are able to connect all three together to create The Ultimate Batmobile.

In addition to Toys R Us, the polybag has also been seen at Fred Meyer as well as LEGOLAND parks/Discover Centers. The only upside to TRU is that they are more widespread than the others, minus the ones that are closing.
