LEGO Not Renewing Partnership with FIRST

LEGO has announced that they will not be renewing their partnership with FIRST and this season will be the last First LEGO League season together. LEGO Education will still launch a 2027-2028 season but didn’t give details on what it will consist of at this time. LEGO Education back in January announced that they will be releasing a new Computer Science & AI learning solution while the SPIKE Portfolio will be retired at the end of June.

Since 1998 we have partnered with FIRST® to inspire kids through STEM learning. As we look to the future, we’ve decided not to renew our partnership with FIRST. The 2026-2027 FIRST® LEGO® League season will be our last together.

LEGO® Education will launch a 2027-2028 season, and we look forward to bringing fun, inspiring and creative STEM learning and the important skills it develops to even more children in the future.

We can’t share more details yet, only that we will continue to work with our incredibly dedicated partners, volunteers and community around the world. Thank you for all you do to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and visionaries.

For now, let’s finish the 2025-2026 season strongly and make the 2026-2027 FIRST LEGO League season one of the best!

Thank you FIRST for your shared vision and collaboration.

Hands-on learning helps build confidence, yet only half of students have access to these experiences in science class, according to a new LEGO® Education report. LEGO® Education Science aims to change that.

Billund, Denmark, 14 January, 2025: Today, LEGO® Education announced its new learning solution, LEGO® Education Science, to help educators bring hands-on science learning to more students. Designed to boost engagement, LEGO Education Science features 120+ engaging, standards-aligned science lessons and ready-to-use class presentations that bring science to life for teachers and students (K-8 or ages 5-11+).
