LEGO Super Mario – Mario Kart August 2025 Sets Revealed

LEGO has revealed two new LEGO Super Mario – Mario Kart sets that will be available starting on August 1. The sets include some power-ups that you can use in the game such as the Piranha Plant and the P-Wing.


Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit (72044) – 588 pieces/$49.99

Team up with Toadette or the Koopa Troopa for a Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit with this Mario Kart™ toy building set for kids (72044). A top LEGO® Super Mario™ gift for boys, girls and gamers aged 8 and over, the set features detailed buildable models of Toadette in the Cat Cruiser and a Koopa Troopa in the Tanooki Kart for pretend play. Each kart has drifting action and shell-launching function. Attach the Piranha Plant figure to either kart and see how it moves when the kart is in motion.

LEGO July 2025 Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

July has now arrived and there are some new LEGO sets that are now available on the LEGO Shop. Probably the biggest news here is the new LEGO x Nike partnership which has produced the Nike Dunk (43008) as their first set.

For the gift with purchase promotions, we still have the LEGO Creator Celebration: Ferris Wheel with Fireworks (40758) with purchases of $85 which will run until July 6, while supplies last. In addition, LEGO has also released the LEGO Ideas Friendly Snails (40788) gift with purchase set that will be available until July 7. This will be available with purchases of $160 and you can double up with the Ferris Wheel or even triple up with double Insiders points if you get the LEGO Super Mario Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (72037). Keep in mind that you can only triple up until July 2.

In the LEGO Rewards Center, the LEGO Ideas Flying Moon Car (40789) is available for 2,500 Insiders points, while supplies last.

LEGO May 15 Releases Now Available

It’s now May 15 and there are some new LEGO sets that have been released as well as some promotional items that you can also get. As you can see the three sets that have been released include the LEGO Super Mario – Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (72037), LEGO Art Keith Haring – Dancing Figures (31216), and the LEGO Icons Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (10360).

In addition, there are also the Up-scaled Baby Astronaut (40767) gift with purchase set with general purchases of $150, while supplies last.


Ninjago fans can also get in on the fun as you can get the Mini Ninja Combo Mech (30699) polybag with LEGO Ninjago purchases of $40.


But wait, there’s more! In the LEGO Insiders Rewards Center, you can redeem the LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Spiny Shell (40787) for 2,500 Insiders Points. We’ve been told that it won’t be available at the time of this posting but will probably go live about 30 minutes after.

LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Spiny Shell (40787) Confirmed as Insiders Reward

Yesterday LEGO revealed the LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Spiny Shell (40787) with no details but we can now confirm that it will be an Insiders Reward. Starting on May 15, the 234 piece set will cost 2,500 LEGO Insiders Points to redeem a code to use at checkout. It is noted that will won’t be available right at midnight and will probably go live about 30 minutes after.

LEGO Super Mario – Mario Kart Spiny Shell (40787) Revealed

LEGO has revealed a new LEGO Super Mario – Mario Kart set with the Spiny Shell (40787). Also known as the blue shell, it is probably the most well known item in Mario Kart and probably the most revered. It has 234 pieces and is reported to be a future gift with purchase set. There’s no details yet on the release date or price requirements but one can assume it could be related to the upcoming release of the Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (72037).

Update: It has been confirmed that it will be a LEGO Insiders Reward item that you will be able to redeem.

German retailer Lucky Bricks has revealed some new LEGO Super Mario summer 2025 sets. These sets include ones for the Adventures with Mario/Luigi/Peach interactive sets as well as the newer Mario Kart subtheme. We’ll have the pricing once they show up on the LEGO Shop.

LEGO May 2025 Shopping Guide – Star Wars Day

We’re just a few days away from the start of May and that means there will be a lot of releases going on including the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th event. Lasting from May 1-5, we’ll have the Star Wars Day releases including the newest UCS set, the Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship (75409).

As tradition with the Star Wars Day events, we’ll also have a plethora of gift with purchase items. With the purchase of the UCS set from May 1-5, you can also get the LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett Starship Keychain as a gift with purchase item, while supplies last. In addition, the Kamino Training Facility (40765) GWP will also be available from May 1-5 with purchases of $160 on LEGO Star Wars sets, while supplies last. Not to be outdone, you can also get the Millennium Falcon (30708) polybag with purchases of $40.

LEGO Brand Stores will have the LEGO Star Wars Grogu Make & Take on May 4 from 12-2pm local time. The LEGO Store Garden State in Paramus, New Jersey will hold their event on Saturday, May 3.
