LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) Giveaway

LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468)

Today is Easter Sunday and to celebrate, I’m going to do a giveaway for the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468). For those in the US and Canada, you already know that this set is fairly rare as it was only available for a very short time on LEGO Shop@Home and and at Toys R Us. Even at TRU, it was hard to find since most stores didn’t have them on the shelves and were holding them behind the guest services desk or people have been buying them up in bulk since there was no limit.

I did purchase one extra set for this giveaway and the rules are the same as other giveaways, just do the objectives in the widget below. The contest is worldwide and shipping is included. It will run for a week until April 3, 2016 and which I will announce the winner after.

LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) Details

Back at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, LEGO revealed the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) that will be coming out later this year but there were no details on it. Our friends over at PromoBricks has found out some concrete info on it including the release date of August 1 and will be priced at €299 and £249 which was revealed at the London Toy Fair.

In addition, a Swiss online shop does not mention that there are any batteries included like the other Technic sets so we can assume there are no Power Functions in the set so the pricing of the set will be mostly on the parts count which is still unknown at this time.

Another small detail that Michael has given is that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be a “lava orange” color and not the prototype camouflage that is shown in the image above which car makers use to disguise their future models.

Given some of the details, are you still on board with the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) or has it deterred you somewhat?

LEGO Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

To celebrate the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice yesterday, LEGO posted the above image on their social media sites to promote the movie as well as the sets that go along with it. The image basically recreates one of the official posters for the movie in LEGO minifigure form and it looks awesome. I wish this was one of the posters that LEGO gives out as a promotion but it doesn’t look like there will be one but you can download a high-quality version that you can print out and hang up.
