LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier (76042) Confirmed Retired on UK Shop@Home

In another report on a set on the 2017 retiring set list, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier (76042) is now listed as retired on the UK Shop@Home. Over on the US Shop@Home, it’s currently listed as sold out due to us having our VIP Black Friday promotion. There’s no details on whether it will come back in stock for the US or it’ll be converted to retired status.

If you’ve missed out on it, Amazon has it available for regular price with Prime shipping. Unfortunately, you won’t get any of the LEGO promo items or points but at least you’ll get the Helicarrier which we can confirm will be retired by the end of the year.

Incredibles 2 Teaser Trailer and Rumored LEGO Sets for 2018

After 14 long years, the Incredible 2 will be hitting theaters again in June 2018 and today the teaser trailer for the movie was released. Does this mean that we will be getting some LEGO sets to tie in with the movie? You bet we will but with a slight catch. It is reported that there will be three LEGO sets (10759, 10760, 10761) that will be released but they will be LEGO Juniors sets and not the regular ones. At least we’ll be getting some more LEGO Incredibles minifigures to go with them.

We already got a couple of LEGO Incredibles minifigures with the LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) but we’ll most likely get the rest of the Parr family in the Juniors sets. There’s also a rumor of a LEGO Incredibles 2 Video Game as well but there’s not much information on that front. Who has been waiting for this movie like I have been?

LEGO TECHNIC Mack Anthem (42078) Revealed

LEGO TECHNIC Mack Anthem (42078)

Dutch online shop Brick Fever has revealed some official images of the 2018 LEGO TECHNIC Mack Anthem (42078). There’s no other details for the Mack Anthem but they do have it listed at €142.99. I’m not into Technic sets that much but I’m definitely put this one on my list.

We’ve already seen some other 2018 Technic sets already so I’ll add this set to that list. Thanks to Jeffrey for the heads up.

LEGO VIP Brick/Black Friday 2017 Promotion Now Live on Shop@Home

LEGO VIP

The LEGO VIP Brick/Black Friday promotion is now live on Shop@Home. There are a couple of offers going on this weekend including:

– FREE LEGO Seasonal Nutcracker (40254) with a purchse of $99 or more, while supplies last.
– Double VIP Points on all purchases
– FREE Shipping on all Shop@Home orders.

These offers will also be available for the general public next week from November 24-27. There’s also supposed to be the Canvas Tote Bag with purchases of $199 or more but it doesn’t show up. I’m not sure if that ones is only for next week. If you’re planning on making a purchase, I recommend doing so as I have a feeling that the Nutcracker build will be a hot commodity. One thing to note it that it won’t show up in the regular cart and you’ll have to click the checkout button to see it.

Update: I’ve been told that stores are giving out a Shopper Bag (5005325) with a $99 purchase. I’ve also heard that the Canvas Tote Bag was for in-store purchases but need confirmation.

Fairy Bricks Theft – Information Wanted

A piece of sad news as our friends over at Fairy Bricks in the UK has reported that their van was broken into last night and a number of LEGO sets that were in the van for donations were stolen. It appears that were and probably have been targeted for a while as about 2,000 of the LEGO Seasonal 24-in-1 (40222) sets were stolen from their gated office area. The side door was pried open probably with a hydraulic tool. The set in question is from last year’s LEGO promotion which is shown below.

Most likely the people who stole the sets will be trying to get rid of them probably at a cheap price so if you see anything that’s out of the ordinary, please contact the Yorkshire Police via 101 quoting 13170537540.

This is a very unfortunate time because the holidays are just around the corner and many children will not be getting something that will make them a bit happier. If you’re not familiar with Fairy Bricks, they are an UK charity that provides LEGO sets to kids at local hospitals and hospices. You can help support Fairy Bricks by donating directly to them but more importantly, please share this post to help them find the perpetrator(s) behind this horrible event.

LEGO The Simpsons House (71006) on Sale for 20% Off

If you saw my post of some of the LEGO D2C sets that are rumored to be retiring this year, you would’ve seen that the LEGO Simpsons House (71006) was on the list. Walmart and Amazon currently has the set on sale for $159.88 which is the first and only time I’ve seen this set on sale. If you’ve been holding off on picking up this set, especially for the past three years since it’s been available, now is the perfect time to get it, maybe for a Christmas present? Anyways, get it while it while it’s still at 20% off the normal price of $199.99. Both Walmart and Amazon have free two day shipping.
