LEGO has officially announced the new LEGO Wicked sets for the upcoming movie. As we’ve already seen, there will be four sets for the theme which will be releasing on October 1 and you can pre-order them today.

Pink Clicks Good with Green: LEGO® Wicked Lands On The Scene With Four New Sets

Billund, Denmark, 12 August 2024: The LEGO Group and Universal Products & Experiences today have revealed the full lineup of LEGO® Wicked products, inspired by the upcoming musical event film from Universal Pictures coming to theatres November 2024. The four new sets feature mini-dolls and fan-favourite characters such as Glinda and Elphaba, The Wizard and more. Fans will have to wait little more than a clock-tick until they are available 1st October 2024 (delivery by bubble or broom not applicable), with pre-orders opening today.

The beloved stage musical makes its way to the big screen as a generation-defining cinematic event. The untold story of the witches of Oz stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege, who has yet to discover her true heart. LEGO Wicked Brickified Trailer Released

LEGO has released a Brickified version of the Wicked trailer and it does give a first official look at the minidolls of Elphaba and Glinda. The four sets that are supposed to be coming in October are still under wraps at this time so we don’t know if the items in the trailer are parts of the sets or not.

LEGO Wicked Elphaba and Glinda Minidoll Teaser

The LEGO Wicked theme was announced earlier today and the splash page for the theme is also live on the LEGO Shop. Here you can see a very detailed page with microbuilds of things we could be seeing larger versions of in the four sets but towards the bottom, we can also see a silhouette of the Elphaba and Glinda minidolls.

There have always been a fan divide between those who prefer getting sets with minifigures or sets with minidolls. We’ll just have to see what the sets look like before judgement should be made just because the sets have minidolls. Maybe the sets will wow everyone and fans will overlook the inclusion of them.

LEGO Wicked Theme Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced there will be four new LEGO Wicked sets coming this October. The sets will be based on the upcoming November musical film and will feature mini-doll characters of at least Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande). The full reveal of the LEGO Wicked sets will be coming later this year, perhaps in July during San Diego Comic Con 2024? We shall see but in the meantime, check out the teaser video below.
