Last Day for BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 Pre-Orders

Today is the last day to get your pre-orders in for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets. As of this post, you have a little over five hours left to get your orders in. There are no sets that have officially sold out yet but if we’re being technical, a few of them have sold out since BrickLink increased the quantities to be sold over the original 30,000 and they’ve already passed that mark. The closest one to selling out is still Adventure in Transylvania at 97%.

Adventure in Transylvania (910049) – 4,056 pieces/$349.99

LEGO Double Insiders Points on BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 Pre-Orders

There’s only a few days left to get your pre-orders in for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 but did you know that you can also get double Insiders points as well? Since the promo is running concurrently, you can earn extra points with your pre-order, however, you won’t get the LEGO Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books (40766) GWP set. It’s a trade-off on whether you want more points later on or if you value the GWP more.

As of this post, none of the Series 5 sets have sold out although there are three of them that are very close to with Adventure in Transylvania being in the lead. As we know by now, there’s been inventory changes with these sets with BrickLink upping the number of sets produced to match the popularity of pre-orders when they first dropped.

Adventure in Transylvania (910049) – 4,056 pieces/$349.99

Antique Shop (910050) – 1,918 pieces/$149.99

Mushroom Village (910051) – 2,436 pieces/$209.99

Popcorn Wagon (910052) – 594 pieces/$54.99

BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 Production Runs Revealed

The BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 pre-orders went live yesterday and BrickLink did a new thing with this series by making more sets available for fans. They didn’t say how many of each set was the maximum number produced but a reader over on our Reddit page yesterday was able to figure it out. If you look at the source code for each of the sets, you can see the code of the maximum number of sets that will be produced.

Adventure in Transylvania had the highest “adjustment” as the it had a maximum of 40,000 sets but was later bumped up to 50,000. The Thieves of Tortuga started of with 30,000 sets but was later adjusted to 40,000. Mushroom Village and Popcorn Wagon were at 34,000 but it has since been decreased back to 30,000. The Antique Shop didn’t change from the original 30,000. There’s still a possibility that the latter three could get bumped up but we shall see.

This is very interesting as it seems that LEGO/BrickLink is trying to predict how popular each set is and either the devs are manually adjusting the numbers or there’s some code that automatically changes them according to how popular a set is.

As of this post, all of the sets have been funded with Adventure in Transylvania being the closest to selling out at about 90%. Popcorn Wagon is next with about 80% of the stock depleted. The Thieves of Tortuga follows with about 75%.
