We’re now down to about a week and a half left in the LEGO Ideas First 2026 Review Stage and we’re now up to 89 projects that have qualified for it. With this update, we have 8 additions to the list.

LEGO Technic Custom Garage Ford Mustang GT Car (42236) Revealed

LEGO has revealed a new LEGO Technic set coming this August with the Custom Garage Ford Mustang GT Car (42236). The set has 973 pieces and retails for $99.99. The set is different from previous Technic sets as you can customize the Mustang as you wish. There are various parts that you can add/remove like the hood, spoilers, front splitter, the doors and roof panels.

Take kids on a journey of creativity as they customize their own LEGO® Technic™ Custom Garage Ford Mustang GT Car (42236). This building toy for boys and girls ages 10 and up comes with 2 sets of bodywork pieces to mix and match different looks. There’s a stylish paintwork option or a graffiti-inspired version – or use elements from each design to create a unique look. Kids can express their personality as they swap out 8 different details of the toy car, including the hood, front splitter, the doors, the roof panels and the spoilers. The design is just the start! LEGO Batman: Build the Legacy of the Batmobile Contest

LEGO Ideas has kicked off a new building contest called LEGO Batman: Build the Legacy of the Batmobile where the winning ones will be put in the game. LEGO wants you to design a Batmobile that pays homage to the Batman lore. There will be five winners and the designs will be on a custom billboard placed in Gotham City. Of course, you’ll also win a digital code for the deluxe version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and the four Batman sets.

LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz Adventure Peely & Cuddle Team Leader (40760) GWP Returns & 2X Insiders Points on Select Sets

LEGO has started a new set of promotions on the LEGO Shop that will run to about the end of the month. The main one is the LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz Adventure Peely & Cuddle Team Leader (40760) with general purchases of $130 or more. This will run until April 26, while supplies last.

The next promo is for double Insiders points on the LEGO Pokemon Eevee (72151) and Pikachu and Poke Ball (72152). This will run until April 30.

You can also earn double Insiders points on the LEGO Art Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lillies (31220) until April 30.

Finally you can get the LEGO Botanicals Field Flowers (30701) when you purchase $40 in LEGO Art and/or LEGO Botanicals sets.
