LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise (72153) Pre-Orders Sold Out

Despite the higher price point, LEGO has sold out of the pre-orders for the LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise (72153). Even though it has a $650 price point, fans were still wanting to get the set especially with LEGO also offering the Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) gift with purchase set early for the first 21,840 pre-orders. The same offer was also on the Pokemon Center and they sold out there even faster.

There’s been a lot of criticism online about the set after the official reveal this morning, mostly about the price and some of the design features. LEGO is kicking the LEGO Pokemon theme off in a big way in terms of size and the accompanying prices of the sets but that didn’t deter fans from still ordering them.

The LEGO Pokemon sets officially release on February 27 and they will be bringing back the Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) GWP again. Eevee (72151) and Pikachu and Poke Ball (72152) are still available for pre-orders.

LEGO Disney Castle (43222) Still Available at Disney Store

If you’re still looking for the LEGO Disney Castle (43222), the Disney Store still currently has it in stock at retail price. The was officially retired at the end of 2025 and it has sold out at many other retailer as well. The set was released back in 2023 and has lasted for 2.5 years so this Disney stock is probably the last of it at retail price.
