As the LEGO community grows, there are more conventions popping up in various cities. One of these new conventions is BrickUniverse 2015 which will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina.
What’s interesting about BrickUniverse is that it is ran by TFOL, Greyson Beights. Usually these types of conventions are ran by AFOLs but for a TFOL to run it will be a monumental task but not unobtainable. Check out the press release below for more details of BrickUniverse 2015:

This was the most disappointing event I have been to in a long time. You pay $12 per person for the pleasure of wandering through a room filled with vendors selling lego kits at inflated prices and a few tables with a limited variety of bricks. Really?!? Save the money and buy a kit at the regular price at a retail store.
My kids and I had a blast at BrickUniverse! My sons and I attended and had a ball. We were amazed by the works produced by master builder Jason Burik, Jonathan Lopes, and many others. My son Thomas loved the Bionicle displays and I personally adored many of Jonathan’s fire station displays and life size Mr. Tiger. It was well worth the trip and we are looking forward to attending next year!
You could see the look on everyone’s face – what the h is this and why did it cost so much to get in? So I could buy a $25 Lego figure and see a few buildings that someone just decided to build one day? The best things there were taking our picture with the Star Wars guys and then the bouncy house. We went to the Lego store afterwards bc we promised the kids they could get something and weren’t going to be duped into giving this “convention” any more of our money.
Wow! I decided to take my son Nathaniel to BrickUniverse this weekend .We are both huge LEGO fans. It was amazing! Besides the tons of smiles and lots of laughter, the creations on display there were incredible! A lot of time and effort was definitely put into this event. My son and I built together in the building zone. We had fun, quality time together.
