New LEGO City Box Images Confirm Power Functions 2.0 Integration

LEGO City Passenger Train (60197)

More images of the summer 2018 LEGO sets have been uploaded to LEGO’s servers including the back of the boxes. One of the more interesting things are the boxes for the LEGO City sets which confirms that the new Power Functions 2.0 can be integrated with it through the Powered Up Platform. This means you will be able to use your phone or tablet to control it along with the standard remote.

LEGO will be moving forward with this innovative feature with these sets along with the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes App-Controlled Batmobile (76112) as well as for the upcoming LEGO DUPLO trains as well.

LEGO City Summer 2018 Capital (60200) Revealed

LEGO City Capital (60200)

In a nice surprise, Amazon has listed a previously unknown summer 2018 LEGO City set with the Capital (60200). The details regarding the pricing and piece count are not known at this time but it looks to be in the scale of the previous large-scale City sets like the Town Square and City Square (60097).

Included in this set are thirteen minifigures, a double-decker bus, a four-wheel crane, and some smaller vehicles. There’s also a mobile ice cream cart along with a standalone hot dog stand as well. There’s also a small skate ramp with a basket on one side but the bigger buildings include a museum and a hotel. This is the first time that the double-decker bus and a hotel has appeared in a LEGO City set.

LEGO City Summer 2018 Hospital (60204) Set Revealed

LEGO City Hospital (60204)

It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten one but there are now images of the new upcoming LEGO City Hospital (60204). If you’ve been collecting City sets, you would know that a LEGO hospital set has been really rare the past few years since the theme has been dominated by Police and Firefighting sets.

LEGO City Hospital (60204)

In this set, you get the three story hospital along with an ambulance as well as a helicopter. For the minifigures, there are doctors, nurses, paramedics, numerous patients including one in a wheelchair, and a family with a stroller.

All in all, the Hospital is a great addition to any City layout and for those who haven’t had a chance to get one before, this one is a great opportunity to add to your collection.
