LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet Clarification

It looks like there is some clearer information about the limited edition LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet that you will be able to redeem at Walmart. According to the redeem page that just went live, it looks like you’ll have to purchase the vintage version of Bricks on a Roll (10715) set at Walmart stores, Walmart.com, or Jet.com between 1/26-2/28 and upload a photo of your receipt. You’ll have until 3/9 to do that or while supplies last. There are 15,000 booklets available which will be sent out 7-10 business days after your receipt submission has been processed.

Currently, the set is not available online yet and the employees at the store do not know about it yet either. I’ve been told that they might be available starting on Monday but we’ll see. I’ll be heading to my closest store to see if they’re available and report back after. If not, I’ll keep tabs for the online set and let you know when that goes live.

60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) Promotion Now Live on Shop@Home

The promotion for the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290) set is now live on LEGO Shop@Home. You can get the set for free when you make a purchase of $125 or more online or at LEGO Brand Stores. This promotion will run until February 14 or while supplies last. The set has four miniature version of the classic Airport Shuttle (6399), Castle (375), Black Seas Barracuda (6285), and Space Cruiser And Moonbase (928) sets.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Truck (4000030) Revealed

While I was at work this morning, a PR company sent over the missing image of the LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Truck (4000030) set. This set is the third Walmart exclusive set that was revealed yesterday. This set has 44 pieces and like the other two, it will go for $19.99 as well. Obviously, this is one of those sets that is more of a collectible item and not something you open and build.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive Sets Revealed

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Walmart Exclusive House (4000028)

Walmart will have some exclusive limited edition vintage packaged LEGO sets to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick. There are three sets that will be available in the near future including the House (4000028), the Windmill (4000029), and a truck. All of the sets are priced at $19.99 each and collectors will most likely keep them in the boxes as they are pretty simple builds using common parts.

To go along with these sets, there’s also a promotion in which you can get a FREE collectible booklet and retro building instructions with a purchase of the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) set. Walmart will have an exclusive vintage packaged version of the set which you can see below.

LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) Collectible Booklet Promo at Walmart

As we know by now, LEGO has released some 2018 sets in the LEGO Classic theme that commemorates the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick. It looks like there’s a promotion at Walmart in which you can get a FREE collectible booklet and retro building instructions when you purchase the Bricks on a Roll (10715) set. All you have to do is get the set, go to www.lego60th.com (website down as of this writing), scan your Walmart receipt, and wait for the items to mailed to you. The promo flyer doesn’t state whether online purchases of the set would work or a deadline date to get it.

LEGO Classic Building Bigger Thinking Fun Future (10402) Review

LEGO Classic Blue Baseplate (10714) Returning in 2018

It looks like the LEGO Classic Blue Baseplate (10714) will be making its return in 2018. There are now official images of the popular baseplate on LEGO’s servers and will be available again starting next year after the 620 version from a few years ago was aburptly retired at the end of 2014. I know a lot of builders have been wanting to get it to do water layouts but don’t want to pay secondary market prices for them. I know it’s not that interesting but there are a lot of LEGO fans who would definitely welcome the return of the Blue Baseplates.
