LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265) Officially Announced

LEGO has revealed the newest LEGO Creator Expert set with the Ford Mustang (10265). This set has been leaked on social media for about a week now but we have the full details of it. The Ford Mustang is set to release on March 1 for $149.99 and it contains 1,471 pieces. The cool thing about the Mustang is that it is able to convert to the muscle car version by switching out the engine and adding some side exhausts and rear spoiler while raising up the back wheels. LEGO Wins Four Toy of the Year 2019 Awards

Back in November of last year, the nominees for the 2019 Toy of the Year awards were announced and LEGO was nominated for a few categories. The awards show was yesterday and I’m happy to report that LEGO has won in four of the seven categories they were in. It seemed that many of the voters enjoyed the return of the LEGO Harry Potter line as the theme took home three awards. Another great for LEGO and it looks like they’re already making a run for next year’s awards with the newly announced LEGO Hidden Side theme.

If wasn’t announced but we gotten word from a few sources that it was retired at the end of last year and it is currently marked as sold out on Shop@Home. I’m not sure how many Amazon has in stock but you should get it if you wanted it and missed out before it retired.

LEGO Reveals at 2019 Nuremberg Toy Fair

The 2019 Nuremberg Toy Fair has kicked off today and our colleagues over at Zusammengebaut has given live updates of some of the summer 2019 LEGO sets that we could expect to see later this year. As usual, photography is not allowed but there are a number of LEGO sets and prices from a variety of themes that we can discuss. Everything is loosely translated from German but we get an idea of what they are. I’ll update as more information comes in.

Brickset has uncovered a lot of new 2019 LEGO polybags that have shown up on LEGO Customer Service which you can find the instructions for them. Some of the more notable ones can be found at various retailers such as the Mini Spider Crawler and the LEGO Creator Fish Free Builds – Make it Yours (30545). New LEGO Polybags Showing Up at Retailers

There are now more 2018/2019 LEGO polybags that have started to show up at various retailers. Thanks to Scott P., we now have images of three new ones that he was able to purchase at Target and Walmart. As you can see above, there is a LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Pelican (30571) that has 62 pieces and can be found at Target.

The LEGO Friends Friendship Flower (30404) is also found at Target and it was originally available as a gift-with-purchase promotional item back in February.

Finally, there is the LEGO City Arctic Ice Saw (30360) which was found at Walmart. It has 43 pieces and it was originally available in the UK that was packaged with the National Geographic Kids magazine.

LEGO Creator Corner Garage (10264) Designer Video

Last week, LEGO officially revealed the next modular building with the LEGO Creator Corner Garage (10264) and they have also released the designer video for the set. LEGO designer Lars Joe goes though some of the details for each floor of the set. One little cool Easter egg that you may not know is that that the second floor is Dr. Jones’ Animal Care. It seems that an older Indiana Jones has traded his whip for a stethoscope in this set. The Corner Garage has 2,569 pieces and will be available starting on January 1.
