LEGO Ideas Projects Currently Under Development – September 2025 Update

With the most release of the latest LEGO Ideas set, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360), we can now update our list of projects that are currently under development. Since our last update, we have taken six projects off the list and added a few on with the winner announcements since late June. The next LEGO Ideas set to hit shelves will be Gizmo (21361) which you can pre-order today.

We’re also waiting for LEGO to announce the winner(s) of the First 2025 Review Stage which should be some time this month.

LEGO Ideas iMac G3 Achieves 10,000 Supporters

iMac G3 by terauma is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 700 piece build features the iMac G3 that was first released in 1998 and was in production until 2003. I remember using these things in my high school days. The build also includes the keyboard and USB mouse.

The LEGO Insiders Reward Center has started a new sweepstakes for the LEGO Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket where you can win a copy of the LEGO Ideas Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360) as well as a $1000 golden e-gift card. The sweepstakes is totally free and every Insiders member has one entry and there will be five lucky winners. The sweepstakes will end on October 15.

LEGO Ideas Backstreet Boys: I Want It That Way Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Backstreet Boys: I Want It That Way by H1GHDEF1N1T1ON is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on the iconic music video of the 1999 hit song I Want It That Way where Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough are all in their white outfits in front of the Boeing 727.

LEGO Ideas Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360) Now Available

The new LEGO Ideas Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (21360) is now available for purchase on the LEGO Shop. Retailing for $219.99, the 2,025 piece set is based on the original 1971 movie starring Gene Wilder.

The main feature is the chocolate waterfall that can move when you turn the dial on the back. It also has the Wonkatania boat that can carry the minifigures which include Willy Wonka, two Oompa Loompa, Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee.

As of right now, the LEGO SEGA Genesis Controller (40769) is still available so you can get it as a GWP when you get it. The promo will run until September 17, while supplies last.

LEGO Ideas The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror by CoasterZoom is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build features a miniature Hollywood Tower Hotel that is still at Disneyland Paris. Although it doesn’t seem to open up, it still has lots of the details including a hall, a heating room, two libraries and three elevator shafts.
