LEGO Brand Store (40528) Set Revealed

In the past day, there have been reviews that have surfaced of a brand new LEGO Store (40528) set. It looks like the consensus is that you can get it for free starting next year with purchases of $125 when new LEGO stores are opened.

The store includes details that you can find in a real LEGO store such as the Pick-a-Brick wall, various stickered sets, the wooden duck, and what looks to be the Tree of Discovery which is seen in the New York flagship store.

It’s a decent niche set but a majority of you will probably never get it if it for store grand openings. You can usually check the LEGO store calendar to see which stores will be opening and hopefully there’s one that will be opening near you.

For purchases of $65 or more from September 30 – October 6, you can get the first LEGO Bricktober 2020 set which is the Carousel (66649). The Fun Fair sets were previously exclusive to Toys R Us Singapore but they have made their way to Canada this year and the packaging lists them as a 2021 exclusive which makes it confusing. Meanwhile in the APAC regions, they have the new Fairy Tale Collection sets. Thanks to Jeff for the heads up.

LEGO x adidas NBA Shirts Revealed

adidas Philippines has released a new line of NBA t-shirts featuring some NBA stars as LEGO minifigures. These shirts show James Harden, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, and Damian Lillard with their respective logos. The shirts are a continuation of LEGO’s multi-year partnership with adidas to create products geared towards sports and active lifestyles. What’s interesting is that the NBA is now also somewhat involved and we haven’t seen any LEGO NBA products since 2003. It’s a long shot but I hope we will see some NBA licensed products even though they can only feature athletes that have signed with adidas.
