LEGO Chinese Traditional Festival 2023 Sets Revealed

The 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) happened overnight and LEGO has revealed some sets inspired by Chinese culture including the upcoming Lunar New Year 2023 sets. All the sets will be available on Christmas, December 25 in China and other markets. Most likely, North America will get them early 2023.

The LEGO Group reveals its largest line-up of novelties inspired by Chinese culture at the CIIE

The Company continues to invest in China to bring LEGO® play to even more children and families

Study shows 93% of parents on China’s mainland seeing play as key in helping kids learn new things

The LEGO Group has revealed five new LEGO® sets with inspiration from Chinese culture and traditions at the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) today. This represents the fifth consecutive year that the company debuted novelties with rich Chinese elements at the expo.

The new sets include:
LEGO® Lunar New Year Display (80110) has two exquisite models capturing many iconic traditional festive symbols. One model has buildable golden ingots in the traditional Yuan Bao design, koi fish for good luck, red pockets symbolizing good wishes, and the “Zhao Cai Jin Bao” greeting that welcomes fortune and treasures into the home. The other model has buildable peony flowers with the “Hua Kai Fu Gui” greeting, meaning blooming prosperity and happiness.

LEGO® Lunar New Year Parade (80111) recreates the joyous atmosphere of a traditional parade with three colorful, connectible floats. See how the giant rabbit moves when the Year of Rabbit float is pushed. Check out

LEGO Updates Retiring Soon List – November 2022

LEGO has updated their Retiring Soon list again and there are a lot more sets that have been added that will be going away at the end of the year. This is the from the UK list as of today so LEGO Shop US may not show these sets as retiring yet but they will be. I’m sure there will be even more LEGO sets added to this list in the next few weeks so I’ll try it keep it more updated. Some sets may already show that they are sold out so you may have to find another retailer that has them in stock.
