LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958) Official Images

LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958)

A few days ago, we got a first look at the LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958) and there are now official images of the polybag. Here we have a clearer look at some of the details including the yellow chicken minifigure on skates as well as the skate ramp for the bunny. It’s nice to see a different use for the pods instead of it being an accessory holder. Again, there’s no word it its availability here in the US but there’s already details of it being a gift-with-purchase set in April over in Europe.

LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958) Polybag Found

LEGO Seasonal Easter Chicken Pod (853958)

For the past few years, LEGO has released Seasonal “hut” sets with the last unreleased one being the Penguin Winter Hut (5005251) but it looks like LEGO has switched over to the “pods” this this year’s offerings. Over on Instagram, a user has found the Easter Chicken Pod (853958) at their LEGO Certified Store in Slovenia.

By using the pod, it allows for more playability as you can build on it unlike the huts where it was just a holder for the minifigure. For this one, there’s a skating ramp for a bunny on skates along with a yellow chicken minifigure also on skates.

There’s no word on availability at this time but I’ll let you know when those details are available. Thanks to C for the heads up a few days ago.

LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186) Promotion Starting Soon

LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186)

Chinese New Year is only two weeks away and to celebrate the event, LEGO will be releasing the LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186) set in a few days. From what I’m hearing, the promotion will be starting on January 28 at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home and you can get it for free with purchases of $88 or more. This will be the fifth of the zodiac animals that have been released in this style and the sixth overall if you count the Year of the Snake (10250). We didn’t know the release of this set beforehand because LEGO doesn’t promote their gift-with-purchase items on the store calendars anymore so it’s hard to plan your purchases.
