LEGO Star Wars Celebration 2019 Darth Vader Bust (75227) Update

A majority of us were waiting for the release of the LEGO Star Wars Celebration 2019 Darth Vader Bust (75227) on Target today but it never happened and we were left scratching our heads on when it would drop. I’ve had a ton of messages today asking when but I didn’t have any answers until now. According to Rebelscum, the set has been delayed until Monday, April 15 but no specific time was mentioned. It will still be a Target REDcard exclusive so you still have some time to sign up if you don’t have it yet.

The set seems to be a very hot commodity early on as it is going for well over $100+ on the secondary market. I’ll try to do a post when it becomes available next week but if I don’t have time, make sure to follow my Facebook or Twitter as I will definitely post on there.

LEGO Star Wars Guinness Book World Record Build

At Star Wars Celebration 2019 in Chicago, LEGO has achieved a Guinness World Record with the Largest Display of LEGO Star Wars Minifigures. At 36,440 Stormtrooper minifigures, it beat the previous record of 35.210 LEGO Star Wars minifigures. It took 38 hours to complete with a team of 12 people.

• 36,440 LEGO Star Wars minifigures total, beating the previous record of 35,210 LEGO Star Wars minifigures
• Display measures 20 feet tall by 20 feet wide
• Arranged in the shape of the iconic stormtrooper helmet
• The display took a team of 12 people 38 hours to create
• The installation was then evaluated by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator, Christina Flounders Conlon
• The LEGO stormtrooper minifigures used in the model are the same stormtrooper minifigures that are in our new 20th anniversary commemorative building set, the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship (available now).

Today LEGO is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme. It started off in 1999 coinciding with the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in theaters and it spawned one of the most popular LEGO themes in the company’s history. LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition (75262) Review

Continuing with my reviews of the LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Edition sets, the next one I’ll be checking out is the Imperial Dropship (75262). It has 125 pieces and retails for $19.99 and from what I’ve heard, it is one of the more anticipated sets of this wave simply because it is an army building set. It is a recreation of the 7667 version of the same name from 2008.

LEGO Star Wars Clone Scout Walker (75261) 20th Anniversary Edition Amazon Sale

Even though the LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Edition sets were just released last week, Amazon currently has one of the sets on sale with the Clone Scout Walker (75261). It is on sale of 20% off which makes the price go down to $23.99. This set could be considered a larger “Battle Pack” so any discount on these type of sets is good if you’re thinking about building an army especially the variety that this set provides. In addition, you also get the exclusive 20th Anniversary Darth Vader minifigure as well.
