LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Details Revealed

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures

Today StarWars.com has given details on the all-new animated television series that will be airing this summer on Disney XD called LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. The show will be similar to previous LEGO TV shows which will include humor and it will be set between Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. As we learned at the toy fairs from a few weeks ago, there will be two LEGO sets that will be based on the show with the Eclipse Fighter (75145) – $29.99 and Star Scavenger (75147) – $49.99. Check out the details of The Freemaker Adventures below.

Told in the whimsically-charged style that audiences have come to expect from LEGO Star Wars entertainment, the series stars the Freemakers, a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy. When their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact — the Kyber Saber — his world is turned upside down, and he and his family are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. Throughout their adventures, the Freemakers explore new worlds, meet new and familiar characters, and learn the true value of what it means to be a family.

“We are very excited to launch for the first time a TV series with Disney XD,” said Jill Wilfert, vice president, licensing & entertainment at the LEGO Group. “The creative team behind The Freemaker

LEGO Star Wars Encounter on Jakku (75148) Set Shown in DK Book Listing

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens DK Level 2 Reader

A few weeks ago, we got details of the summer 2016 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets from the London Toy Fair but images weren’t allowed for the sets for either London or Nuremberg. However there’s an image of what appears to be part of the Encounter on Jakku (75148) set which comes from an Amazon listing for the DK LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Level 2 Reader. The image shows some of the Niima Outpost along with a clear shot of the Unkar Plutt, Rey, and BB-8 minifigures. The set also includes Teedo and a brick-built Luggabeast that is not shown in the preview images of the book. I’m not sure if the image will be taken down or not but check it out below while you can.

Thanks to Emily V. for emailing this in earlier today.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game Side Mission Details

Last week, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released details of the new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game. We already know that the main game will be based on the blockbuster hit but there is even more gameplay to it.

Today Game Informer has released details of some of the side missions and events that will be in the game which lets players explore backstories of some of the characters. There are six full optional missions that are unlocked when you collect enough gold bricks.

One of these missions include how C-3PO got this red arm. This part of the story hasn’t been released yet but will be explained in an one-shot Marvel comic in March but we also get to play through it later this year. Another mission that was teased is the events of how the Rathars were captured aboard Han Solo and Chewbacca’s Eravana freighter.

Again, the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game will be available on June 28 on a variety of systems. There is also the Deluxe Edition available for Playstation 4 and XBox One which includes the exclusive 30605 Finn (FN-2187) minifigure polybag as well as the Season Pass for the game.

According to the AZ Central, LEGO has confirmed today that they will be released in March. There’s no mentioning on what date they’ll be released but it’s usually at the beginning of the month. Keep in mind that we’ll also be getting Double VIP points a week in so if you can hold off a little longer, you’ll get more bang for your buck.

LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One Set Numbers

Continuing with the LEGO Star Wars news for today, this post pertains to the upcoming Rogue One sets that will be coming out later this year. The Rogue One subtheme was announced at the Nuremberg Toy Fair last week and there’s been much talk about it the past week or so, mainly if the Slave I shown in the image would be one of the sets along with Boba Fett.

There are now some new box outline images from a retailer catalog which I won’t be posting but they do give some detail in to the Rogue One sets. There are five sets based on the movie with set numbers:

75152
75153
75154
75155
75156

There are also three Buildable Figures based on the Rogue One movie with set numbers:

75119
75120
75121

Note that the background image does show a TIE Fighter flying in the back. Whether or not it will be a set or not remains to be seen. Obviously, there are no info yet on the prices, piece count, etc. but we should be getting more details later this summer. It’s been reported earlier that the sets will be released this October.
