LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis SDCC 2018 Screening

A few months ago, we got our first look at the upcoming direct-to-home LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis and it looks like there will be a screening of the movie at San Diego Comic Con 2018. There will also be a panel of the voice actors and filmmakers for a post-screening session. The main thing that fans may want to attend the panel is that they will be giving away the exclusive Jessica Cruz Green Lantern LEGO minifigure. The panel will be held on Sunday July 22, 2018 1:45-3:30pm in Room 6BCF.

For those who are unable to attend the screening, you can pre-order the movie on Amazon which will also include the Jessica Cruz minifigure.

Aquaman must battle foes in the air, on land, and in the depths of the Seven Seas, along with some help from The Justice League, to save the day in his latest animated adventure, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis. Enjoy the first-ever live showing of the film, then prepare for laughs when the postscreening panel takes the stage. Discussing the fun of making a LEGO movie will be actors Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!) as Aquaman, Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Knight) as Batman, Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls) as Wonder Woman and Lois Lane, Cristina Milizia (Bunsen Is a Beast) as Green Lantern/Jessica Cruz, Susan Eisenberg (Justice League / Justice League Unlimited) as Mera, Eric Bauza (The Adventures of Puss in Boots) as Jimmy Olsen, and Fred Tatasciore (Batman Ninja) as the villainous Lobo. Filmmakers on the panel include Matt Peters (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Gotham City Breakout), screenwriters Jim Krieg (Batman: Gotham By Gaslight), and Jeremy Adams (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash), and executive producer Brandon Vietti (Young Justice). As usual, expect some additional surprise panelists, plus everyone in the audience will receive an exclusive LEGO mini-figurine of Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern! Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment, and the LEGO Group, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on July 31 on Blu-rayT Combo Pack, DVD, and digital.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997) Revealed

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997)

LEGO has revealed the third exclusive set that fans will be able to purchase at San Diego Comic Con 2018 with the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997). The set has 218 pieces and the build is basically a bust of Ant-Man along with the Wasp minifigure. Luckily the Wasp is not exclusive as she also appears in the Quantum Realm Explorers (76109).

If you didn’t know, LEGO has moved to a lottery system for their exclusives so it’s a little harder to actually win because anyone who is attending can enter and whoever is chosen is guaranteed to win a set provided they show up to pick up the winnings. The LEGO SDCC 2018 reveals aren’t over yet as there are also exclusive minifigures given away as well so stay tuned for those reveals in the upcoming weeks.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary Exclusive Yellow Lantern Batman Minifigure

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary

Way back in February, we got our first look at the upcoming LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary that will be released in September. Of course, a majority of the DK books will include an exclusive minifigure and we now know who that character is thanks to Amazon France.

As you can see in the image above, the exclusive minifigure will be Yellow Lantern Batman of the Sinestro Corps from Forever Evil #4. Even though it was short-lived, LEGO decided it was obscure enough to produce a minifigure of the Yellow Lantern Batman.

You can now pre-order the LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary with a price of $21.99 but you do have the Amazon Pre-Order Price Guarantee so if goes cheaper between now and the release, you’ll pay the lowest price.

Thanks to Justin for the heads up!

LEGO DC Kingdom Come SDCC 2018 Set by Alex Ross

San Diego Comic Con 2018 is only a few short weeks away and like with previous years, LEGO has a pretty big presence at the event. The thing that fans have been waiting for are the exclusive sets and minifigures that are available at the convention. We’re still a couple of weeks away from those reveals as LEGO likes to keep them close to the chest but it there is something interesting that has popped up online not by LEGO but by another exhibitor.

Alex Ross has posted the above image on Facebook with the caption “New- Kingdom come- LEGO set #sdcc”. If you’re not familiar with Alex Ross, he is the writer and illustrator for the four-issue series Kingdom Come from 1996 and the image is a “set” based on the comic. The image features the iconic cover, in a way, and has custom minifigures of the Alan Scott Green Lantern, The Spectre, Wonder Woman, Superman, Norman McCay, Batman, and the Wallace West Flash.

There’s no confirmation that this is something that will be sold at SDCC by LEGO or by Alex Ross himself. It is curious because he did use the SDCC hashtag in the caption but I’m not sure what this means. It could mean that he may just be displaying it there for show or we’re just be looking too much into it. We’ll definitely know if this is an exclusive in a few weeks when more SDCC exclusives are announced so stay tuned for that. Thanks to everyone who messaged in about it.
