LEGO Forest Hideout (40567) GWP Rumored to Return in August

The promotion for the LEGO Forest Hideout (40567) is still currently going on the LEGO Shop but if there’s nothing that’s tickling your fancy, you may want to hold off on it for now. It is rumored that the gift with purchase set will be returning August 2-14 with the same $150 purchase requirement.

August 1 is when all the good summer 2022 sets are available here in the US including all of the LEGO Con 2022 reveals so that may be the best time to order. Of course this is just the rumor going on and it may not be true so you have to take a chance if it returns later or not.

LEGO VIP Rewards Center Discount Changes Coming Soon

A few years ago, the LEGO VIP Rewards Center allowed shoppers to redeem their points during checkout which can be used for both online and in stores. That was until the big overhaul of the Rewards Center where it split the redemption process and you had to choose between online and in store. This caused shoppers problems if they chose the wrong option.

Soon over the next few weeks, LEGO will be making an update that will again simplify how you redeem those points for discounts. Instead of them being separate, it will now be a single option for the discount and you can use it for both online and in stores or over the phone. You’ll only choose how many points and how big of a discount you want to use.

Currently the system is live in Hungary and will be rolling out to other regions with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan up next. Hopefully this change will lead to other changes like having multiple or larger denomination discounts.

LEGO Announces Price Increase Starting in August

LEGO has announced that the prices on some LEGO sets will be increased in August and September due to increased costs of raw materials and operating costs. They have not said which sets will get the price bump but they did state that some prices on sets will not change and some will get a single digit increase while the larger ones will get a percentage increase. Obviously, this will affect shopping habits and many will pull back due to inflation in other parts of the economy as well.

Update on pricing

The current global economic challenges of increased raw material and operating costs are impacting many businesses.

Putting consumers first is at the heart of what we do as a company, and for some time, we have absorbed these costs to keep pricing stable. However, as these costs have continued to rapidly rise, we have taken the decision to increase the price on some of our sets. This increase will come into effect in August and September.

The increase will differ depending on the set and prices will change on around a quarter of the portfolio. On some sets we will not alter price, on others there will be a single digit increase and on larger, more complex sets the percentage increase will be higher.

We will continue to work to ensure our products offer great value and full recognise how important this is to our fans and everyone who love our products.
