LEGO Star Wars Porg (75230) Sale

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the LEGO Star Wars Porg (75230) is now on sale over on Amazon. It is currently $55.99 which is 20% off the retail price. The Porg joins a short list of Star Wars characters of smaller stature that have been produced in a larger scale in recent years joining R2-D2 (10225) and BB-8 (75187). I will also note that the same deal is going on over at Walmart as well.

Earlier today, LEGO sent out an email blast notifying LEGO VIPs that there will be an early Black Friday shopping event this weekend at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. From November 17-18, you can earn double VIP points on every purchase. You can also get the exclusive LEGO Seasonal Christmas Gift Box (40292) with purchases of $99 or more. These offers will also be available for everyone during the actual Black Friday event next week.

Update: The promotions should stack with the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289) set.

LEGO Sets Retiring Soon for 2018

The LEGO Holiday 2018 catalog should be in your mailbox by now if you’ve elected to receive things in the mail. There’s nothing too special about our version of the catalog but the UK version gives us a look at some of the sets that will soon be retiring. One of our readers Stephen has shared a couple of the pages from the UK LEGO catalog there are sets that you may be interested in picking up before they go away forever. Keep in mind, sets in other parts of the world will retire before the US so it gives us some extra time to get them but know they will be next on the chopping block. Also note that some of the sets show out of stock online but you may still find them in stores.

LEGO Black Friday 2018 Confirmed Promotion Details

A few days, I reported on some rumored Black Friday 2018 promotions at LEGO and there is now confirmation of these promotions. First, there is the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Gift Box (40292) with purchases of $99 or more. This promo will run in store and online from November 23-26. Next is the LEGO Ninjago Bricktober 2018 (5005257) with purchases of $50 or more. This promotion is only available in stores on November 23. I’m sure this will draw some ire from Ninjago fans who don’t have a LEGO Store near them.

Some other Black Friday LEGO promotions include select sale items at LEGO Stores on November 23. In addition, there’s also items that are 30% off at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home from November 23-26. Cyber Monday sales on November 26 will have items 20% off. Lastly, if your store still has the LEGO Creator Detective’s Office (10246) still in stock, you can get it for 20% off from November 23-26.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Silent Mary (71042) Amazon Sale

The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Silent Mary (71042) is currently on sale over on Amazon for $149.99 which is 25% off the regular price of $199.99. This is probably the last time that you’ll see this set at this low of a price because from what I’m hearing, it’ll be retiring soon. This is also the last time that you’ll find a Johnny Depp Jack Sparrow minifigure for a set that is still available at retail because there are reports that Disney might be rebooting the franchise without Depp at the helm. Even if that report isn’t true, it sounds like he is done with the character.

Note that this set is sold by Amazon and not a third-party seller. Shipping is stated that will be within 1-3 months but they’ll usually ship it before then.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Advent Calendar (75213) Sale

As we’re getting closer to Christmas, the LEGO Star Wars 2018 Advent Calendar (75213) is finally on sale at some retailers. The new Target ad shows it is 10% off and is priced at $35.99. Amazon and Walmart has them one upped just a tiny bit with a 15% off discount and it goes for $33.99. If you have a REDcard at Target you get an additional 5% off so the price is pretty much the same after everything is said and done. Thank you to Eric for the heads up.
