LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) GWP Sold Out for General Release?

Today was supposed to be the general release of the LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) gift with purchase set on the LEGO Shop but it looks like that won’t be happening, at least in the US. Unless there’s some sort of delay on the LEGO Shop, it appears that the set has been sold out since it doesn’t even show up in the cart even after adding the required $200 to get it. Once big clue was that it wasn’t available yesterday when the promotional period for LEGO Insiders was still going. LEGO Brand Stores could still have them in stock so I recommend calling them to check.

If you’re not a LEGO Insider, I highly suggest signing up for this free program as you can earn points towards discounts and other LEGO items that are exclusive to it.

Last Day for LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) Insiders Early Access

If you’re a LEGO Insider, today is the last day for the early access for the LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) gift with purchase set on the LEGO Shop. If you’re not, don’t worry because wave two of this release will start tomorrow and run until February 25, while supplies last. Again, it will require a $200 general purchase to get this reimagining of some LEGO Classic Space sets.

From now until February 18, LEGO Insiders can get the set with purchases of $200 or more. The general public can get the set next week, February 19-25, but I don’t think the set will even last that long.

LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) Official Images

The official product page for the upcoming LEGO Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) gift with purchase set is now live on the LEGO Shop with details of the set. The 325 piece set will be available in two waves. The first is for LEGO Insiders February 16-18 with purchases of $200, €200, $320 AUD. The general release will run from February 19-25 with the same price threshold.

The set features micro builds inspired from the Classic Space sets from 1978 to 1983 including Alpha Rocket Base (483), the rocket transport vehicle from Mobile Rocket Transport (6950), and the spaceship from Space Patrol (6803). You can read my early review of the set here.

Nostalgic adult LEGO® fans and kids aged 9+ can collect, build and play with these awesome Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) space toys. Inspired by the iconic LEGO space sets from between 1978 and 1983, it features 4 micro models: the rocket launchpad and space station from Alpha Rocket Base (483), the rocket transport vehicle from Mobile Rocket Transport (6950) and the spaceship from Space Patrol (6803). LEGO is back again this year with another LEGO Classic Space promotional set, this time with the Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712). The 325 piece set will be available for LEGO Insiders early access February 16-18 with purchases of $200, €200, $320 AUD. The general release will run from February 19-25 with the same price threshold.

BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 Update

It’s been a few days since the BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 sets started pre-orders and here’s a quick update on what’s been happening if you don’t follow my social media updates. As of today, three sets have completely sold out of the 30,000 maximum allotted which include the Mountain Fortress, The Old Train Engine Shed, and Snack Shack. The Mountain Fortress sold out in three hours after pre-orders started and the Snack Shack and The Old Train Engine Shed came after.

We only have the Parisian Street and the General Store left from Series 1. The Parisian Street is about 50% sold out while the General Store looks to be about 70% sold out. There’s still 17 days left to pre-order but I expect them to be sold out in about a week.

BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 Pre-orders Now Live

Pre-orders for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 sets are now live and you can purchase them through the LEGO Shop checkout process. The links below will add the sets directly to your cart. Remember that there needs to be a 3,000 pre-order minimum for the sets to be made with a maximum of 30,000 produced for each one. The sets will ship by July 1.
