LEGO Architecture Las Vegas (21038) Set Details

The first wave of the 2018 LEGO Architecture sets was supposed to consist of two sets Las Vegas (21038) Shanghai (21039) but for whatever reason, the Vegas set was delayed. There hasn’t been much information about the set until now courtesy of Promobricks. According to a German eBay pre-order listing, Las Vegas will consist of 487 pieces and the buildings in the Skyline layout will include the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, the Mandalay Bay Hotel, the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel, the Encore Las Vegas Hotel, the Stratosphere Tower, and the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas.

The pricing of it is €39.99 so it’ll probably be $39.99 when it is released here in the US. The listing shows that it will be available at the end of January but I’ve heard that it won’t be out until the spring or possibly this summer. Either way, we’re still holding out for the official images of the LEGO Architecture Las Vegas (21038).

Any chance they are removing and replacing the Mandalay Bay following last years shooting? I wondered about that when I heard the original line up of buildings in the set. Honestly, the selection of buildings is a little less than iconic to me. I would I would have loved to see circus circus, Cesar’s palace, or MGM in the set. Just my thoughts.

They should remove Steve Wynn’s place too. Not merely non-iconic (and built by a bore) but boring to boot.

I’d imagine the delay was because of the Mandalay Bay shootings. I can’t believe they’ve stuck with the building really, should’ve gone with the iconic Belagio and it’s fountain. Any not just because I spent my honeymoon there.
