LEGO City: Undercover (2017) Official Trailer

LEGO City: Undercover

WB Games has released the official trailer for the upcoming LEGO City: Undercover. The trailer reintroduces Chase McCain along with an amazing soundtrack that’s very Grand Theft Auto like. The game was first released exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U but this remastered version will be on the PlayStation 4, XBox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

If you haven’t played LEGO City: Undercover before, it’s an open-world adventure that lets you control Chase McCain to hunt down criminals in a LEGO version of GTA. There are rumors that this version is more than just a straight port over and will have updates to it from the previous one. There’s no release date mentioned but it is stated that it will be released in the spring.

Join the Chase! This first official trailer for LEGO CITY Undercover introduces Chase McCain, a police officer who goes undercover and dons multiple disguises to hunt down the notorious – and recently escaped – criminal, Rex Fury, to put an end to his city-wide crime wave.

This open-world LEGO adventure allows fans and newcomers to explore the sprawling metropolis that is LEGO® CITY , with more than 20 unique districts to investigate, filled with car thieves to bust, vehicles to navigate, mischievous aliens to capture, hilarious movie references to discover, lost pigs to rescue and of course, hundreds of collectibles. Bringing together witty, original storytelling with signature LEGO humor, this open-world LEGO adventure creates a fun-filled experience for players of all ages.

Maybe in exchange for Undercover being given to the other consoles, perhaps Nintendo players like me can get all that downloadable Lego game content that always gets a release exclusive to everything except the Wii U?

Wasn’t this the same trailer released for the original game, apart from the fancy platform names?

I wonder what the “updates” are. They’ll probably remove all of the Nintendo content from the Xbox and PlayStation Versions, due to rights or whatever. Kinda disappointing, considering I never got to play the original.

On another note, is this supposed to be the only Spring/Summer Lego game release, or is there supposed to be another? In the past, Lego has released another game around June/July, like Jurassic World or The Force Awakens.
