LEGO has released some accessory sets this year for LEGO City as well as for LEGO Friends and it looks like they will be doing it for the LEGO Disney theme next year. There are official images of some LEGO Disney Accessory Sets (40307/40388) that have 115 pieces and 80 pieces respectively and will be add-on to some of the upcoming LEGO Disney sets.

I like them… but will I like the price?
$10 for the 80 piece one for sure, and $10-13 for the 115 piece one would be my guess. Anything more would be more insane because for $15-20 sets you can get 1-2 minidolls and animals.
What’s up with those weird boxes?
What’s up with the weird boxes from the original Friends sets? These at least make a certain amount of sense. You can make two boxes that fill a combined 12″ of shelf space but pack down into 10″ of shipper carton. Effectively, you’re giving what amounts to a 5″ box an extra inch of box front to show off the set inside. It also kinda makes them stand out a something other than a regular set. Since they are literally all accessory packs (City and Friends got the first two of these boxes) with no minifigs, it’s not a bad idea to do something to differentiate them from the rest. I mean, imagine how much a kid would hate it if they got one of these as their first and only LEGO set for Christmas.
