LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) Box Distribution

LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012)

As we know by now, the LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) will be available starting on May 1 but they have already shown up at LEGOLAND Billund. One of the main questions of the series was the box distribution and it looks like we have that answer via someone in the Legend Bricks LEGO 交流交友區 Facebook group which are as follows.

Alien x4
Genie x4
Mickey x4
Mr. Incredible x4
Stitch x4
Syndrome x4
Aladdin x3
Alice x3
Ariel x3
Buzz Lightyear x3
Captain Hook x3
Cheshire Cat x3
Daisy Duck x3
Donald Duck x3
Maleficent x3
Minnie x3
Peter Pan x3
Ursula x3

As you can see, you can still get three complete sets in an unopened, unsearched through box which is great. The distribution is pretty even because there aren’t any minifigure that come five in a box now.

Distribution is actually really good here. Alien should be 3x (not 4) as he’s totally unneeded. I would have made Genie 3x as well. Would have upped

Maleficent and either Donald or Minnie.

No the Little Green Alien is the only character there is really more than one off so really all 6 extras should be Aliens. and Aladdin should have come with Aboo not another Genie lamp. and Mini should be red no pink but all in all I love the series just wish I could find a box to buy.

  • Nick Gartner

Wow, this is great! I’m all for it!

    It’s Dash not Mr. Incredible

    • Gomek

which ever it is, this is the reason the Incredibles should have had molded heads.

I’m actually crossing my fingers that when the knock-offs come out they’ll have molded heads.

      • Ross

Except they would then look out of place amongst this series as all the humanoid figures have regular heads.

        • Gomek

7 of the 18 figures in this series have molded heads. And all my Toy Story figures (except for the green army guys) have molded heads. Actually I think they’d look more like everything else than not.

          • Ross

I was referring to the ones based on human (or mostly human) characters so peter pan, ariel, ursula, syndrome, alice, aladdin, hook, maleficent, and genie as all having the standard head. Buzz is obviously an outlier and I still haven’t decided if I like his new look. It looks like they were seeking uniformity in giving all human characters the regular minifig head which I understand. My issue is that mr incredible needs a big ol gut and theres no adequate way to show that in minifigures just yet 🙁

          • Gomek

Yeah, I don’t always like the molded heads better, but where heads are very stylized, Squidward (where we’ve gotten both), Simpsons (where the TV show showed the non molded),and Toy Story, I vastly like the molded ones better.

alice, aladdin, hook, maleficent all look good. I would have done molded for the genie. He doesn’t look right.

And I agree they should have figured out the pot belly a long time ago, especially with the Simpsons. I think it’s more that they can’t decide where to draw the line between 2d and 3d.

    • According to the press release, no, it’s Mr. Incredible.

“Two Disney·Pixar characters never-before-seen in the LEGO world become minifigures – Mr. Incredible and archenemy Syndrome from Disney•Pixar’s The Incredibles.”

Dash would have short legs so it is not Dash.

    bring on the money:)

How do you buy a box, and how much does it cost

    • Mike

Ya how do I buy a box?

  • Dave(3rdeye88)

That’s cool. I always wondered how many of a given figure came to a box. I wondered if a figure was “the rare” and you got one per box. Do they do that with other series? Also being a Magic The Gathering player, I deal with this kind of thing all the time when talking about booster boxes of cards and the variance of getting the cards we want. This is pretty good if you can get at worst three of something in one box. That’s real good by most blind box/bag statistics.

In the other series, there are Common, Uncommon and Rare minifigures, the Common ones are 5 per box, Uncommon are 4 per box and rare are 3 per box, being that there are 60 in a box and 16 different minifigures. As the Disney series have 18 different minifigures, instead of 16, they had to make them all either Uncommon or Rare.
