If you glanced over the December 2016 LEGO Store Calendar from earlier today, you may have noticed something new on the back. We now have our first official look at one of the the new LEGO Disney Moana sets based on the movie with Moana on the High Seas (41150).
It’s kind of hard to tell from the image but the set has a little island area as well as a little raft with a sail. You also get the Moana minidoll as well as the Maui bigfig.
The calendar states that the set will be available in December and there’s another set coming in 2017. What do you guys think of the set? Does it strike your fancy?

Disney films are a big hit right now. Moana is following Zootopia, Frozen, Big Hero 6. All mega successes. Plus Maui is going to be voiced by Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
It just seems a little strange. Zootopia is a movie about animals that seems very Disney-ish, at least to me. Frozen was a big hit because it was a unique and original idea. Big Hero 6 is a superhero movie(nuff said).
Moana seems like a movie about a Hawaiian island princess who goes on a cliche adventure or something. I’ll admit, I don’t know much about the film. I just think Lego would be better off producing something more worthwhile than “Moana.” If this was a Disney Princess set, I wouldn’t be complaining.
damn they added that island just to jack up the price. i would rather have just had the boat and the characters, because that sail is great!
I am excited for this set and the movie. The Maui bigfig will go great in my tattooed figs collection and I love his Makau. I am a big fan of different cultures and love animated films so this is right up my alley.
