LEGO Restaurants of the World: Mexico (40907)

The new LEGO Restaurants of the World: Mexico (40907) is now available with purchases of $180 and here’s a quick review of the set. It is the second set from the restaurant subtheme with the first one being Japan (40906).

It features a quaint Mexican taqueria which has all the features that you’ll find in those restaurants whether it’s a small stand or a full on shop. It sits on two 8×12 baseplates with the front of the shop having some chairs on the cobblestone.

The color scheme of the shop stands out the most with the yellow walls and decorated eaves in the front. The roof is made up of different colored terra cotta tiles made up of slopes pieces. The left side of the building has a cactus built integrated into the wall. At the top of the shop, we have a large taco sign with a stickered Taqueria logo.

Inside the prep area, there’s a large trompo heating under the vent. The table has a bunch of stuff going on like the tortilla being made and even some guacamole in the bowl.

Overall, the LEGO Restaurants of the World: Mexico (40907) is a nice little set and the only downside I see is that it is gated by a higher price requirement. I feel that $150 should’ve been the max that LEGO should’ve charge for it. Other than that, it does give give an authentic feel of your typical taqueria and pairs up nicely with Japan.
