With all the news coming out of San Diego Comic Con 2014, I forgot to post the pictures I took of the new LEGO The Hobbit The Lonely Mountain (79018). The 866 piece set will retail for $129.99 and will be released in October. In the pictures, I tried to focus on the Smaug figure as many people were waiting patiently to see it. Why do all the articles (probably copied & pasted, granted) say two of the minifigs are Ori & Gloin when in both the official photo & in the display here they are Fili & Kili instead??
The original source probably got the dwarves mixed up.
When I looked at the initially leaked stock pictures, Smaug was pretty underwhelming. Looking at these close-ups, I like the set WAY more, since the scale of Smaug looks more accurate.
