In our next review of the LEGO Wicked sets, we’ll be taking a look at the smallest set in the wave with Elphaba’s Retreat (75687). The set has 228 pieces and will retail for $27.99.
Minidolls
There are two minidolls included with the set, Elphaba and Fiyero. Elphaba is wearing a black suit/dress with distinct white lines. The legs have some purple for the ruffles. Her face shows her with a slight smirk and she has the long braided hair. Her accessories include a hairbrush and the stickered Grimmerie.
Fiyero is in his dark green uniform with some nice metallic gold printing for the details. He also has a smirking expression on his face.
Build
The whole build is for Elphaba’s forest hideout. The main structures are the trees and the curved wood in the background. This gives the look of an archway or opening right in the middle. Hanging off the wood are some transparent yellow cloud pieces.
On the left side of the forest, there’s a blue desk with a stickered map on top. The desk can lift up to reveal a chest where you can hide stuff inside.
The right side of the forest has a small table with a crystal and a flower.
In the middle, there are some cushion seats near a fire pit which are also stickers.
At the very back, I assume that thing is another seat along with a teapot and some cups.
There are also a slew of smaller accessories such as the rabbits, a Glinda’s book with a pressed poppy inside, lantern, Elphaba’s broom, and a sticker poster that says Elphaba is watching you.
Results
Overall the LEGO Wicked Elphaba’s Retreat (75687) is an okay set to get kids to play along with the movie. For the price point, I expect a little bit more in terms of play value but there’s some but not enough to justify it.
