LEGO 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290)

The LEGO January 2018 Store Calendar has surfaced online and one of the main promotional items for the month is a limited edition 60 Years of the LEGO Brick anniversary set. It will be available with a purchase of $125 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home.

The LEGO 60th anniversary set pays tribute to four classic LEGO sets including Classic Castle, Town, Space, and Pirates and they are micro versions of the Castle (375), Airport Shuttle (6399), Space Cruiser And Moonbase (928), and Black Seas Barracuda (6285). It also has a similar style to the 2016 LEGO 50 Years on Track (4002016) employee set.

Thanks to everyone who emailed in about it. I saw it last night but didn’t post due to the impending announcement of the LEGO Creator Downtown Diner (10260) that was shown on top of the calendar. I’ll update with a better image when the PDF copy is available.

Update: The January 2018 LEGO Store Calendar is available and we now have a clearer look at the set.

LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man Available Again at LEGO Store via Flyer

LEGO Gingerbread Man

With three weeks left in the holiday shopping season, LEGO is sending out fliers to VIP members to incentive them with another returning promotional product. When you present the flyer above to a LEGO Store along with a $10 purchase or more, you can get the LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man (5005156) for free, until December 23. This is the same promo item from last year and if you missed it, you’ll have another chance to get it if you live by a LEGO Store and have the required flyer. This is the second returning promotional to be returning this year with the LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) being available for purchase again on Shop@Home.

LEGO Powerpuff Girls Rumored for 2018

Here’s some pretty interesting news coming out of the Brickset Forums regarding the Powerpuff Girls. Apparently the LEGO Dimensions expansion packs weren’t the last time we will see them as there are a couple of sets rumored for 2018 which include:

Bubbles’ Playground Showdown (41287)
Mojo Jojo Strikes (41288)

This some interesting news as this is something I didn’t expect but they would also add on to the existing minifigures and builds that we already got from LEGO Dimensions. If this rumor is actually true, I would love to have a Mojo Jojo minifigure. What do you guys think of this piece of 2018 news?

LEGO Ideas NASA Saturn V (21309) Available on Target eBay Store

If you’re still looking for the LEGO Ideas NASA Saturn V (21309), the Target eBay Store has it available at retail price. Act fast as this set is still one of the main top-selling sets, especially for this holiday season. The Saturn V on ShoP@Home has been going in and out of stock very quickly since you can get VIP points for it while Amazon had it for a while with frustration-free packaging and some people don’t like it shipped that way.

Update: It’s now sold out.

TRON Legacy Light Cycle is Next LEGO Ideas Set

LEGO has officially announced the next LEGO Ideas set with TRON Legacy Light Cycle. The project was from the First 2017 Review Stage and was created by thr BrickBros UK. There are no details on price and availability at this time.

It was also announced that Damien and Aiden MacRae from the Surf Rescue project was offered a special project to work on. If you remember, Damien was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma skin cancer and used this project to spread awareness.

Unlike some of the previous review stages, there was only one project selected to become an official LEGO Ideas set. Are you happy about this pick or would you rather have chosen another project? Let us know in the comments.

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Snowglobe (40223) Now Available on Shop@Home

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223)

If you missed out on the LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) promotion from last year, LEGO is now selling it on Shop@Home for $9.99 with a limit of five per customer. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing that LEGO is selling previous promotions as customers had to spend at least $99 to get it originally however this may start a trend of LEGO reselling their previous promo items at a later time for those who missed it. Let me know what you guys think about LEGO reselling the Snowglobe in the comments. Check out my review of the Snowglobe here.
