The LEGO Ninjago Movie: The Making of the Movie

Amazon UK seems to like to publish images early and we now have a look at the cover for The LEGO Ninjago Movie: The Making of the Movie. This 200 page book will be similar to The LEGO Batman Movie where it takes a look at some of the behind the scenes things including concept art, builds, and more. It will be available starting on September 22 but you can pre-order the book today.

Packed with stunning concept art, sketches, artwork, inspiration and LEGO® builds, the book tells the fascinating story of how The LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE was made.

Find out how your favourite heroes, villains, vehicles and locations were created for the movie. Learn about each development stage of the movie, from the initial idea and storyboarding to recording the dialogue and special effects. Created in full collaboration with the LEGO Group, with exclusive insights from the filmmakers, animators and LEGO designers.

Continuing with the coverage of LEGO related things at San Diego Comic Con, LEGO artist Dan Veesenmeyer has announced that he will be doing a signing. On Friday July 21 at 3pm, Dan will be at the LEGO booth (#2829) promoting his upcoming book, LEGO NINJAGO: How to Draw Ninja, Villains and More.

There’s no official word on what the procedure for the autograph session will be but assume it will be a first-come, first-served kind of deal. I’ll update as soon as I hear more details about it.

LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) Availability Update

Even though the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) was just released last month, it has been out of stock pretty much since then and fans have been starting to worry if it would ever come back. There have been sightings of it at various LEGO Brand Stores, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart but that stock has been limited as well. So what’s the deal on it?

Last month, it was stated through an email from LEGO saying that the Saturn V would be in production through 2018 and we now have an official word from Hasan from LEGO Ideas. In his statement, he has stated

We Are Continuing To Produce More Apollo Saturn V Sets

There was no doubt that the set would continued to be produced but some would rather wait for an official statement from LEGO. As Captain America says, be patient and keep checking in on it at LEGO Stores if you’re near one or on B&N and Walmart online. You can read the full statement below.

It has been over a month since the official launch of the LEGO® Ideas 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V set and the overwhelming popularity of the iconic rocket has unfortunately meant that some LEGO fans have not yet been able to purchase their set or have had to wait longer than they had hoped.

Unfortunately, rumours and speculation have arisen concerning its availability, which we would like to shortly address.

Amazon Prime Day 2017 Starts Now

Amazon Prime Day 2017 has officially kicked off and there are various flash deals that will be happening for the next 30 hours.

The best deals are not LEGO related and I didn’t see any LEGO sets on the Prime Exclusive Deals list except for LEGO Worlds in the gaming section but that doesn’t mean there any LEGO deals to be found in the product pages. On a majority of the items, there is an additional 20% the listed price.

If you aren’t an Amazon Prime Member yet, you can sign up here to get a free 30 day trial. Feel free to use our links as it does help support the site.

If you want to get in on LEGO Dimensions, a lot of the products including the Starter Packs, Fun, Team, and Level Packs are on sale.

Prime Day 2017 officially kicks off at 9pm EST/6pm PST so I’ll try to update if there are any great LEGO deals for it. Of course, you have to be a Amazon Prime Member to get in on the sales. If you’re not a Prime member yet, you can sign up here for a free 30 day trial. You can check out the benefits of Prime here.

LEGO Ideas NF-15B Research Aircraft Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The NF-15B Research Aircraft by Mammalucco is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It is based on the NASA flight test aircraft which has since been retired. This model features many details as the real aircraft and has about 5,000 pieces.

It now joins Gilmore Girls – Luke’s Diner and Wonders of Peru as the projects to reach the Second 2017 Review Stage.
