A few weeks ago, we got our first at the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Gotham City Cycle Chase (76053) and and now there are some new high quality images of the set. First are some close up images of the minifigures courtesy of Just2Good. Here we have close up images of both the new Harley Quinn and Deadshot minifigures that will be included in the set which are based on the New 52 series. The other images are from Roger who emailed in the back of the box as well as the product image of the set. The price point of the set is rumored to be at $19.99.
I almost totally forgot about this but last Christmas, I did a contest to giveaway the last set of the Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010). The contest has been over for a few days and the winner of them is:
Chris B. – Branson, MO
Again, these minifigures were provided by the LEGO AFOL Relations & Programs Team and hopefully for this year I’ll have different styled contests, like building ones, to give away to the readers which allows you to show off your work to the community.
It’s been pretty slow LEGO news-wise but there are now new details on the summer 2016 wave of LEGO BIONICLE sets. From what I see, there will be at least 5 sets in the wave which you can see the list below. They’ll be available in August so we should probably see them at the upcoming toys fairs in a few weeks.
Ekimu the Mask Maker (71312)
Lava Beast (71313)
Storm Beast (71314)
Quake Beast (71315)
Umarak the Destroyer (71316)
If you’ve been waiting for the Series 15 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71011) to be released on February 1st, you may want to check out Target stores. I’ve gotten a few messages from readers who have found them in stores and are able to purchase them without being blocked at the registers while paying for them. YMMV on that but it’s worth checking out. Of course if you’re in other parts of the world, they’ve already been released in the beginning of the year.
In a few days, LEGO Dimensions will be releasing wave 3 of various expansion packs for the video game. These packs have discounts of 25% or more on Amazon and they will be released on January 19.
As you can see above, one of them will be the Ghostubsters Level Pack (71228) which includes a new Peter Venkman minifigure, a mini Ecto-1, and a ghost trap.
Next up is the DC Comics Team Pack (71229) which includes the Joker and Harley Quinn, the Joker’s Chopper, and the Quinn-mobile.
I’ve been holding off on this particular post until there were better images and it looks like there are some from Just2Good. There are now some higher quality images of the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Captain America: Civil War sets. We first saw these sets in December when they were first revealed in the LEGO Catalogs but there are now some larger and sharper quality box art and product images from J2G including some exclusive ones. There will be a spoiler but if you saw the previous post, then you would already know what that is.
The first set is called Black Panther Pursuit (76047) and it contains287 pieces and it includes minifigures of the Winter Soldier, Captain America, and Black Panther. The set includes Black Panther’s jet, Captain America’s 4×4, and the Winter Soldier on a motorcycle.
Next up is Crossbones’ Hazard Heist (76050) consisting of 179 pieces and has minifigures of Falcon, Black Widow, and Crossbones. Widow is riding the newer style of motorcycle while Crossbones rides different styled 4×4.
Finally we have the Super Hero Airport Battle (76051). This 807 piece set includes Giant-Man, a microfigure Ant-Man, Agent 13, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, Captain America, War Machine, and Iron Man in his Bleeding Edge armor. The set itself includes another Quinjet, the airport traffic control tower, and a luggage cart.
There will also be another Civil War set coming out later in the summer but there’s no details on what that set is or which characters it’ll include.
Earlier today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced some DLC packs for the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Video Game that will be FREE exclusives to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
