Starting tomorrow, LEGO will be running a new promotion with the LEGO Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books (40690) which is another set in the series acknowledging historical figures. The promotion will run from June 21-30 with purchases of $150. The set has 351 pieces and it features a set that combines some of Jules Verne’s books including Around the World in Eighty Days, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and Five Weeks in a Balloon.
It looks like a project has been removed from the LEGO Ideas Second 2024 Review Stage with no explanation. While updating my list of 10k supported projects for this review stage, I noticed that the Artists Cafe – The University House by 2PPL has gone missing. The builder’s page is still so they haven’t been banned and they’re pretty active but 403 forbidden page which means it has been disqualified for review.
LEGO hasn’t really been transparent on why certain projects have been removed. I believe they do notify the builder but unless they come out and public state why their project was removed, we won’t know why.
Arsenal F.C. – The Invincibles by PetaS is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,999 piece build features the main entrance to the Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, London and includes the FA Premier League team who went undefeated that season.
The project joins Claw Machine Wallace & Gromit – A Grand Day Out, Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Multi Player, Impression Sunrise – Monet, The Loneliness of the Voyager – NASA’s Voyager Mission, , Humpback Whale Breach, Tintin – Space Rocket, The Iron Giant in the Forest, Tetris Solid, Working Image Projector “Magic Lantern”, and Popcorn Machine as the ones to reach the Second 2024 Review Stage.
Popcorn Machine by dimexart is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 955 piece build features a working machine that pops the popcorn out of the pan by the way of a gear mechanism.

If you missed it the first time around, LEGO has put up pre-orders for the upcoming LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree (77092) again. The set releases in September but LEGO had pre-orders going when it was announced and then they sold out a few days after. The set will be first official The Legend of Zelda set after fans have been asking for years for something. This set features the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild and will have minifigures of Princess Zelda and three versions of Link.

French retailer fnac has posted some product listings of a couple of LEGO Botanical Collection sets that are scheduled to be released in August. First is the Chrysanthemum (10368) which has 278 pieces. The other is the Plum Blossom (10369) which has 327 pieces. Both sets also include a buildable vase and stand to display them. The price point is reported to be about $30 each.
French retailer fnac has revealed the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy sets which are slated to be released in August. First is The Dark Falcon (75389) which has 1,579 pieces and it features a combination of the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star. It includes minifigures of Beach Luke, Jedi Vader, Bounty Hunter C-3PO, Darth Dev, Darth Jar Jar, and Darth Rey.
The other set is the TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up (75393) which has 1,063 pieces. Here you have the X-Wing and TIE Fighter as two separate vehicles but you can mix and match parts to make completely new ships. The minifigures in the set include Yesi Scala, Sig Greebling, Rebel Pilot, L3-GO, and TIE Pilot. You can see that some of the character are play on names for LEGO terms.
