LEGO Peter Jackson Minifigure Up for Auction

If you’re a collector of high end LEGO items, a very rare LEGO Peter Jackson minifigure has popped up that you can try to get. Former LEGO designer Marcos Bessa is selling off some rather rare items in his BrickLink store but the highlight is an extremely limited Peter Jackson minifigure that LEGO produced for their first meeting with the filmmaker for the LEGO The Lord of the Rings sets. Apparently there were only 20 made in total and this is probably the first that it has appeared publicly.

As of right now, Marcos is auctioning the LEGO Peter Jackson minifigure for 24 hours and the current highest bid is already at $15,500. If you want to get on the bidding, you can DM Marcos on Instagram. We already know that DuckBricks loves to collect rare LEGO items and even he is out of the running for it so it’ll be another hardcore collector that gets it.

The LEGO Group Celebrates Three Years of Zero Waste to Landfill

Earlier today, The LEGO Group announced that they are celebrating three years of zero waste to landfills. In an effort to minimizing their impact to the environment, the goal called Zero Impact in Operations is to reduce carbon emissions, energy use, water usage and waste generation. Last year, 96% of the waste generated in production was reused, recycled, or recovered without incineration or going to the landfill.

Celebrating 3 years of zero waste to landfill

BILLUND, DENMARK, 24 June 2025: At the LEGO Group, we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment. That means continuing to reduce the impact of LEGO® production and our use of resources. We set targets for our carbon emissions, energy use, water usage and waste generation, as part of our goal called ‘Zero Impact in Operations.’ This aims to decouple our impact from business growth.

One of our areas of focus is reducing and managing the waste created in our factories. We are constantly looking for ways to avoid waste and to ensure disposal methods are as sustainable as possible.

Focus on waste prevention, reduction, reuse and recycling

We aim to reduce the waste that goes to incineration or landfill across all our factories. In 2024, 96% of the waste generated during production of LEGO bricks was reused, recycled or recovered. For the last three years, and despite a minor increase, we have remained within a ‘zero waste to landfill’ threshold, which is commonly interpreted as less than 1% of waste generated going to landfill. We have also successfully

Last Day for LEGO Double Insiders Points – June 2025

Today is the last day to get your orders in for the LEGO Double Insiders points shopping event. As of this post, there is only about 13.5 hours left to get double points on all your purchases. This will probably be your last chance to earn extra points as I don’t see LEGO doing it in July and if we’re gauging past promotions, we may see it again in August.

As a Rakuten/Linkshare Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

LEGO July 2025 Shopping Guide

July is only a week away and now is a good time to showcase the LEGO sets that will be releasing soon. It’ll be a fairly quiet release as the rest of the summer 2025 sets for the US have an August launch. We do have the new LEGO x Nike partnership that’s officially launching in July with the Nike Dunk set.

For the gift with purchase promotions, we’ll still have the LEGO Creator Celebration: Ferris Wheel with Fireworks (40758) with purchases of $85 which will run until July 6, while supplies last. In addition, LEGO is also releasing the LEGO Ideas Friendly Snails (40788) gift with purchase set. This will be available with purchases of $160 and you can double up with the Ferris Wheel.

In the LEGO Rewards Center, the LEGO Ideas Flying Moon Car (40789) will be available for 2,500 Insiders points.

The gift with purchase set was originally planned to run until Friday, June 27 but it only lasted for about three and a half days. You can still probably find it available at your nearest LEGO Brand Store but you should double check if they still have it.

We do still have double Insiders points which will run only until tomorrow night so there isn’t that much time left for that promo.
