LEGO Ideas Asterix & Obelix Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Asterix & Obelix by Ganpat the Celt is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This is an updated version of a previous project that also hit 10k but wasn’t approved and is based on the comic series.

The project joins “Big Boy” Locomotive, Retro Arcade, Spartan Helmet of Leonidas, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, The Muppet Show, Red Bull Racing F1 Team RB18 1:12, Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Western River Steamboat, and Dreamwork’s Shrek Swamp as the ones to reach the Second 2023 Review Stage.

A LEGO Certified Store has revealed the new LEGO DC Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase (76224) which will be releasing later this summer. If you don’t want to drop a chunk of change for the upcoming Batcave Shadow Box (76252), this will be a cheaper way to get the 438 piece 1989 Batmobile which looks almost the same. There are some slight differences between the two such as the rims and the intakes. It’ll also include minifigures of Batman and the Joker, both of which are new variants. For the Batmobile itself, it’ll have some gears on the sides to pop out the guns. It is rumored that the set will cost $44.99.

LEGO Ideas Dreamwork’s Shrek Swamp Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Dreamwork’s Shrek Swamp by Pedro_RuizMx is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This build features another version of Shrek’s home and bathroom and proposes a bigfig version of the character as well as minifigures of him Fiona, Big Bad Wolf, Little Pig, Pinocchio, Puss in Boots, Gingy, Blind Mice, and Donkey.

LEGO Icons of Play (40643) Revealed

A Japanese LEGO Certified Store has revealed a brand new football/soccer set called Icons of Play (40643). The set has 899 pieces with a whopping 15 minifigures and features 15 of the top names in Women’s soccer including Megan Rapinoe, Yuki Nagasato, Sam Kerr, and Asisat Oshoala. It is listed for a June 6 release for 16,480 yen.
