LEGO Ideas First 2022 Review Stage Results Announced

LEGO has announced the winners of the LEGO Ideas First 2022 Review Stage and we actually have more than one project chosen. Out of the 39 projects that were in the running, LEGO has picked four to become official LEGO Ideas sets. These projects include:

LEGO Insects by hachiroku24

A huge congratulations to Fan Designer José María (aka hachiroku24). José María has hit a homerun with his small builds inspired by 5 different insects found around the world. He has captured the colours, shapes and overall details so well that it’s hard to tell they are brick-built! We think they will be a great way to bring a piece of nature into your home without bugging you!

The Orient Express, a Legendary Train by LEt.sGO

Big congratulations to Fan Designer Thomas Lajon (aka LEt.sGO). We’re so excited to finally give our fans a train set! There are a few trains as famous as the Orient Express but none of them can rival the elegance, luxury and history that comes with it. Thomas has poured a lot of love into capturing the details from the locomotive and coal car to the restaurant car to make sure this is the perfect tribute to such a legendary train. It’s a special privilege to bring this creation to life in LEGO bricks!

Tales of the Space Age by john_carter

A huge congratulations to our first Polish Fan Designer Jan Woźnica (aka john_carter). Jan’s 3-piece product idea intrigued our review board and we’re certain it also caught the fascination of the

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Official Trailer

The official trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania dropped earlier today and we finally get a better look at what the movie is all about. We also get a few glimpses of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror including a shot of him with his comic book look.

The movie is set to be released on February 17, 2023 and it is almost for sure that we will be getting a few LEGO sets based on the first Phase Five movie.

LEGO Galaxy Explorer (10497) Walmart Sale – October 2022

Walmart currently has the LEGO Galaxy Explorer (10497) on sale for 25% off. This sale has been going on and off for the past weeks now so if you don’t see it, you may want to check back in from time to time. The set is still fairly popular with older builders as it hits the nostaglia factor and is an even better deal now that it’s discounted.

LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine (10300) Designer Video

A few days ago while I was away, LEGO dropped the designer video for the LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine (10300), six months after its initial release. Ali Plumb talks with LEGO Designer Sven Franic and Yoel Mazur about some of the details that are in the set for all three versions of the car.

The non-DeLorean named Back to the Future Time Machine is now widely available and the LEGO Shop finally has inventory on it since it had a $30 price bump on it back in August.
