Upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Promotions Removed from October 2021 Store Calendar

The original LEGO October 2021 Store Calendar came out late last month and there were some pretty cool LEGO Harry Potter promotions that were supposed to happen later this month but it looks like things have changed. The updated store calendar has removed the Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms (40452) and Hermione’s Study Desk (30392) which were supposed to run from October 25 through November 7.

There’s no word yet on why they have been removed, at least for the US, and I’m waiting to hear back for a response from LEGO. It’s possible that the global supply chain disruption may have impacted the shipment of those promos.

LEGO Ideas First 2021 Review Stage Results Postponed

After hyping it up yesterday, LEGO has decided to delay the announcement of the results of the LEGO Ideas First 2021 Review Stage. Instead of it being today, it has been pushed back until tomorrow. However, they have also decided to do a giveaway for guessing the correct projects that will be selected, like they’ve done in the past. All you have to do is comment in the LEGO Ideas post of which of the 57 projects will win and they will randomly choose two winners.

The prizes include the Fender Stratocaster (21329) and a mystery set which is the next LEGO Ideas set to launch. Both sets will be signed by the LEGO Designers. The deadline to enter is five minutes before the announcement some time tomorrow so I suggest putting in your guess today.

LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler (76240) Review

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that LEGO will be releasing a new LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler (76240) which has gone through a number of iterations in the past. The most recent version was 76023 from 2014 which included some pretty exclusive minifigures. The 2021 version of the Tumbler will be released on November 1 and will be priced at $229.99. This is a price increase of $30 from the previous version but it also has an additional 180 pieces.

Box

The box uses the newer 18+ branding with the all black and just featuring the Tumbler and this is one of the few sets that it works well on. The back of the box gives a look at the vehicle on the display stand along with the plaque.

The contents of it include 18 bags that are number to 11. The instructions are packaged inside a cardboard sleeve alongside the two sticker sheets. Unfortunately, the single sticker was crushed during shipping but it was fine after it was applied.

The front of the instructions gives a little insight on the design process of the Tumbler. LEGO Creative Lead Jesper Nielsen also chimes in on some of the changes from the previous version. LEGO Graphic Designer Adam Corbally was responsible for the graphic details on the minifigures, stickers, and the printed elements.
