New LEGO Sweepstakes Items – July 2021

If you have some extra VIP points laying around, there are some new sweepstakes items in the LEGO Rewards Center. First is the Lady Liberty Model that was designed to celebrate the grand opening of the new LEGO Flagship Store on 5th Avenue. This one ends on July 31.

The other sweepstakes is a LEGO adidas Originals Superstar set which includes a pair of wearable sneakers as well as the 10282 buildable version. This sweepstakes ends on July 22.

Both sweepstakes cost 50 VIP points and there is a maximum of 50 entries per member.

LEGO Technic Heavy-duty Tow Truck and 4×4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck Revealed

LEGO has revealed two new LEGO Technic sets that will be available starting on August 1. First is the Heavy-duty Tow Truck which has 2,017 pieces and retails for $149.99. The other set is the 4×4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck which has 2,110 pieces and retails for $299.99. The tow truck has like of features like pneumatic functions while the Zetros can be controlled with the LEGO Technic CONTROL+ app.

BrickLink Designer Program First Crowdfunding Round Goals Reached

The first crowdfunding round for the BrickLink Designer Program launched this morning and after about eight hours, we now know which sets will be produced. After some overload issues on the site this morning, fans were slowly able to pre-order the projects that they wanted to see produced and the first five to reach that goal are Castle in the Forest, Great Fishing Boat, Sheriff’s Safe, Pursuit of Flight, and Kakapo. BIONICLE Legends and Particle Accelerator are the two projects that are now eliminated and will not be made.

Castle in the Forest was the fastest one to sell out 5,000 copies and it hit that goal in about 40 minutes after pre-orders started. Following that was Great Fishing Boat and the others slowly followed. As of this post, Pursuit of Flight and Kakapo are the ones that hasn’t reached full pre-order capacity.

At first glance, I thought that BIONICLE Legends would’ve been one of the top five since they have a large but niche community but judging by the progress bar, it doesn’t look like it even it 1,500 pre-orders.

Note that the Mountain View Observatory has been pushed to a future crowdfunding round.

Were you able to place your orders and which one(s) did you get? Were you satisfied with how the pre-orders went? I thought it was smooth after the initial rush and checkout on the LEGO Shop was also nice. LEGO has revealed the new range of LEGO City Stuntz sets on the LEGO Shop. As of this post, there are ten sets listed and they feature the Stuntz flywheel. All of the sets will be available starting on October 1.

LEGO Marvel What If…? Captain Carter & The Hydra Stomper (76201) Revealed

LEGO has revealed another of the new LEGO Marvel What If…? sets with Captain Carter & The Hydra Stomper (76201). There’s no pricing yet but we do know it will have 343 pieces and will most likely be avaialble in August. This set depicts Peggy Carter as Captain Britain and Steve Rogers as Iron Man since he wasn’t able to take the Super Soldier Serum and Peggy took it instead.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: No Way Home Sets Revealed

LEGO has revealed three new sets for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. All three sets will be available starting on October 1 and one of them may give some insight/spoilers on what we can be expecting to see in the movie, mainly the new suit that Spider-Man will be wearing. Note that two of them are inspired by the first two Spider-Man MCU films.
